And about the culture now surrounding them, which has become very febrile. Examlle being McClean, who you refuse to even acknowledge is the victim of a jingoistic attitude thats unhealthy
McClean shows nothing but contempt for the people he has chosen to live with and make his living from.

His choice.

If he hates Britain and the British so much he has an easy soloution.

He seems to think he is the only person ever touched by the troubles.

What was that I said about unhealthy jingoistic nonsense?

He doesn't 'hate Britain or the British'. He choses not to commemorate their army.

His choice.

It's the choice of the people of Britain who have utmost respect for their armed forces, past and present, how they react to someone who disrespects them.

Freedom of expression cuts both ways.

How is it 'cutting both ways'? You want to wear one, wear one. Nobody will criticise you. You don't, you get hounded, threatened and abused.

The likes of you are hounding threatening and abusing people for wearing one.

Take a look in the mirror.

And yet you wonder why he did it.

It's strange that you think not facing a flag is offensive while thinking IRa songs are normal.
Lots of so called rebel tunes have loyalist versions.
I have literally defended him.

Have some manners and read what people are saying, not what the voices in your head tell you.

The whole purpose of this thread is to put people off from wearing them, and to try to shame them. From the very first post...
"May I suggest that the people who support the poppy take a good hard look at the event that the run on that day and consider how insulting it is.."

On the first page, McSlaggart,Levellers and Talk Back.

Can you not read that for yourself?
Like Clan said McClean was forced to wear a poppy? They questioned the culture around poppies of late. You really are a dullard

The mantle of victimhood does not sit easily on your supremacist shoulders.
Where do you see the victim hood?

Just pointing out hypocrisy.

At the end of the day what any Irish republican thinks about poppies or the people who wear them is irrelevant.
