exact quote from their FinMin is that 'Portugal is at high risk of needing a bailout'

that'd be the same guy that speculated earlier about them having to leave the Euro

this is a scare tactic intended to get their austerity budget passed

Thought i was seeing things on sky news
there will nothing left for us
scary!
But we don't need anything. We're fully funded to June 2011! :)

Let's party like it's 2005

"Portuguese FinMin says Portugal at high risk of seeking bail-out" is the scrolling headline. Slightly different.

Don't worry, we probably got in before them - they just haven't told RTÉ yet.

Source is being misquoted, the Portugese Finance minister says the country is at high risk of needing a bailout. A nuance, but an important one.

Can we outsource Lenihan for a few months so he can design a NAMA for them?

That'll cure all their economic woes.

Maybe Joe O'Reilly will let Lenihan kip on his couch and save the State some cash.

Another example of Fianna Fail before the country.

Get the f**k in and agree the bailout terms now.

If Portugal get there before us the German taxpayers will go apesh*t if a third country (Ireland) goes looking for help.

Can we get on with this now.

So what if we're funded until next May. How are we going to pay the bills in June?

Typical forward thinking by the Irish political class. Sure we're funded for 6 months as we p*ss away €65m every day.
