I am very impressed with the panelist, Cormac Lucey.

Very robust analysis and cutting through the BS that is the FF machine.

Constantin Gurdgiev's talents at "doing the maths" are also devastating.
You;d almost feel sorry for Batt. The two most reliable weapons in the arsenal gone: Honahan and Elderfield.

Surely Fianna FAIL should provide someone who is financially literate. Do they have someone that is financially literate, even someone that knows what a tracker mortgage is would be a start :) :)

When we have it we spend it.
When we dont we send for the IMF,
The Republican Party :)

The economist Mr. Lucey is brilliant. Very level, composed and authoritative. He is really showing up O'Keeffe's lack of ability. Miriam is rattled by him also as he is so far off FF message.

She took a break as if , imo, she is afraid of the real truth about gombeenism being aired.

Again, her blatant support for FF is a disgrace - like all current affairs/news programming of late.

A default is inevitable. We need to look again to our two old friends: Morgan Kelly and David McWillaims.

Kelly seldonm speaks but uncannily when he does, his predictions usually come true within a week. Thus his latest prediction of depending on he "the kindness of strangers".

McWilliams has been advocating a default for the last year. It's almost a certainty now. That guy Lucey also recommending it.

Fianna Fail incompetence and corruption has destroyed us many times in the past. But by God, they really have excelled themselves this time. Surely, surely, surely, they must be wiped out in the Spring election. If they're not, then we can only conclude that the Irish are indeed as thick as we were always portrayed in the British satiricals of the 19th century.

Fianna FAIL will now have €85 billion for their re-election campaign :(

All those sports halls & schools will get built by the end of February.

Cunning ploy by BIFFO dragging out the election :(

To think one time B.Lenihan told us we would be out of pocket for a bank bailout of 4billion, and yet today he is still our minister for finance.
Rewarding failure in Ireland it seems.

That young girl at the start just zones out when she hears all the doom & gloom. Have our youth not learned the dangers of zoning?

I remember when 4.5 billion was big money.

Now it's pocket change.

FF are doing exactly what was done with the bank gaurantee and NAMA they are stampeeding us by using the old national interest argument.
They have not a clue what they are doing, Lenihan needs to step down as MOF and apoint Constantin Gurg---- or Morgan Kelly to the job.
Every single figure that Lenny has given us since the bank gaurantee has been out sometimes by multiples of 10. The guy has absolutely no credibility.
Just go, for gods sake go.

O Keeffe is Roche-lite. Licking his dry lips just there, he knows nothing or is unable to offer anything. We are going to default. And he can say nothing.
How has Bat-Out-Of-Hell O'Keefe escaped the opprobrium heaped on his predecessor? How is this guy an improvement? Imagine the cartoons of Mary C. if she were still in the role.

Batt was apparently "playing poker" with the guys from the IMF. Time to fold, Batty boy.
