Whether you like it or not it is considerable news in Britain and this is the UK section of the forum.

Great day for Cameron to bury bad news (or the Irish to do so).
(sorry struggling to find a political angle on this - he's two heartbeats away from the job for which his only qualifications are who is father is, being eldest child, his gender and his religion).

Oh wow......hopefully they'll have a lavish wedding, with her wearing a lovely dress and him looking all handsome, and the sun or star will run a "wedding tribute" special edition..it'll be great.

Or alternatively......who gives a ************************?

Took a shed load of work but did persuade them they needed to release the news today to offset the Euro Finance meeting.

Course had to give away Cork to them as a wedding Present but reckon we get the better part of the deal.

Or, as a headline in the Leinster Leader ( a Co. Kildare newspaper) once read:

Prosperous man marries Clane woman

Thank Christ there's something other than Ireland going to dominate the English media. Did Brian Lenihan organise this?

You can finally put to use that commemorative teapot you bought a couple of years ago at Woolworths during the false alarm.
It will be a bumper period for all teapot manufacturers as well as photographers, publishers and plate makers.

I'd say Kate's mother is chuffed.

Wonder how much this one is going to cost, bad enough having to pay for German Git visit.

7 months of BS from the media.

Would suggest a car accident, but they still haven't shut up about the last one
