Last night's Question Time is attracting some controversy after a seating plan referred to Sf Minister of Education John O'Dowd as "SF/IRA", a typical unionist, bigoted slur.

It's clear the BBC is not a neutral, unbiased body, what with its continued use of the term "Londonderry" and forced wearing of poppies by its on air staff. It's time for BBC NI to be placed under the direct control of Stormont and the pro British rules forced upon the unit from London be stripped away.

BTW, while this was mentioned in the Nolan Show thread this subject is worthy of its own thread.

UTV and RTE do.
Sinn Féin is frequently on political discussion programmes on RTÉ. As for UTV they are probably too busy with wall to wall X-Factor and England's Got Talent to bother with political programming.

Apparently ,Gerry Kelly,Caral Ni Cuillliana ,Marty and Jarry are going to come on TV to tell us ,that SF have nothing whatsoever to do with the IRA and that it is a viscious slur to be mentioned in the same breath.

Does the opening poster see any link between Sinn Fein and the IRA as derogatory? Does he find such a link offensive? If not, what is his problem with it?

Well it's offensive to all the shinners who want to pretend they don't support terrorism... Laughable but sure what do you expect from these people...
