Rebranding a United Ireland

A fairly minor issue, but as of late, we've been hearing far more chatter about a united Ireland and the idea is taking hold that in the near future we may have a vote on reunification.

Whether or not you think this is a good idea, one of the matters that could need consideration is the question of branding. The terms United Ireland and 32 county republic have been in such broad use by certain actors in the NI conflict that the terms themselves may be off-putting to those who might otherwise agree with the logic of an all-Ireland government.

So I have created this thread to see if we could brainstorm a few terms that could replace "United Ireland" in any such campaign.

A couple I have suggested:

Ireland Max.
Single Island government
Ireland-wide government
All-Ireland government

Terms such as Greater Ireland, Megalo Ireland, Grand Hibernia or Ireland Irridenta are probably best avoided, for reasons that should be obvious..

So what would your suggestions be?

Change the name to Hibernia
The name of what?

I'm not talking about the name of the country here, merely the name of the proposition.

The proposition for Scottish independence has been abbreviated to iScotland and IndyScotland which are very catchy and in themselves attract attention.

We need a new one for United Ireland since it has become tainted over the years.

Well for the north it could be --To join the weird ,corrupt pedophiles paradise to the south--YES, NO.

For the south it could be--Lets give our corrupt elite another 6 counties to fuk up like they have already done with the 26--YES, NO

federal is a good word.

The 26 counties has an over centralisation problem around the capital. the world federal may describe what a 'united ireland would look like, rather than just regional autonomy for the 6 or 9 counties spread it out and give kerry and mayo the means to fix their potholes, end the odd practice of exporting classes of kids after leaving cert. dublin won't do it for them.

Federal, use the opportunity to have a clean sweep.

United Ireland is fine.

It's known, no need to explain what it means, and changing the 'brand' won't make a difference to how anyone votes.

Let's call it "The Federation".
Star trek fans would love it

I think that's quite naive. Words carry associations. Observe how pro-choice has become "repeal the eighth", it's good for refreshing or updating a campaign.

But that's a different proposition, surely.
