The beauty about this country though is the lack of accountability held by those in office.

A few facts:

Dubliners in general do not want a hate filled sectarian parade going through it's main street on a busy shopping day.

The parade should not have been allowed near O'Connell Street as it is a building site.

The Gardai were woefully inadequate and underprepared.

When the marchers were told they couldn't go/ down O'Connell Street the protestors on O'Connell Street should have been told which would have enabled them to disburse instead of turning round and running up to Leinster House.

In essence there should not have been a riot. Looting shops and vandalism does nthing to further the Republican cause.

However, the powers that be must take responsibility for giving this march the go-ahead. Why didn't they refuse to let the march go down O'Connell Street on safey grounds, nobody could have complained at that) and instead let it wind it's way through the Phoenix Park?

But then maybe certain people in power had alterior motives yesterday...
I'm not in favour of censorship but what about one ginormous recycle bin thread where crap like this could be deposited?
A link to the posts new location could be left on it's original thread.
If someone clever like Andrew wrote a script for it, it might not take more than a click.

This is just the usual paranoid bullshit we hear from some posters on this site

Is digging up this thread an example of reduce, reuse or recycling?
Reducing....... reductio ad absurdum....

Still the fact that you cannot recycle soft plastics is absurd I suppose.
