They are up 1% in today's poll so it will interesting to see what traction they will now get.
They are up TO 1% in one poll. So that means 10 people out of 1000 said in one poll they'd vote for them. "Traction". Bless.

Which means they are within -2% to 4% of margin of error.

Well, I suppose, optimistically the only way they can go is up.

There is no political gap in the market for a GOP style anti-tax anti-abortion party.

Margin of error is 3%. So it might be that minus 2% support them.

The Extreme Right are going to run in the General Election, save your money they will win no seats.

For as long as Renua exist they are merely doing a tonic-drink or a vitamin supplement company out of great name for their products.

At the moment.....luckily enough most of the fringe groups have headbangers running them with the personal attraction of a dead mackerel

The corruption at the heart of the centre of Irish politics with inaction on social issues will eventully have people seeking more radical options if it isn't addressed as we have seen in other countries......we have a bad habit of thinking it couldn't happen here.....

I think their party leader John Leahy is a certainty to win a seat in a five seater Laois Offaly Constituency. Not sure about the other sixteen. They aint going away anytime soon.

Admire your optimism, John, but you were outpolled by FF 2 last time, and they're unlikely to weaken.

Absolutely agree. He may be slightly handicapped by the fact that the Laois/Offaly Constituency doesn't exist anymore though. But we'll see.

Is there a five seater this time? Thought the boundary changes haven't been passed yet?

Much depends on who they run. Leahy in Offaly has an outside chance of taking a seat which would probably improve if the election is postponed until such time as the Laois-Offaly 5 seater is reestablished.

They ran 26 candidates last time for a 2.2% return, they've now lost their star player in Lucinda but abortion has since become a hotter topic. They should poll 1-1.5% with a fair chance of taking a seat in Offaly.
