In an email to members and supporters Renua has declared that it is now a pro life party. The correspondence states that

'The Party believes that the 8th Amendment is a secular human right's issue as it protects the human rights of the unborn child. The Party strongly supports the 8th Amendment. We understand that some party members declare ‘freedom of conscience’ on this issue and accordingly they will not be required to support, canvass, or issue statements in support of the party position. Party candidates and elected representatives will be required to subscribe fully to our position on this matter.'

So this week the Soc Dems join the Repeal the 8th while Renua row in behind Protect the 8th.

Couldn't agree more there.

Several TD's would prefer to see someone fined thousands of times more for killing an unborn bird (unhatched egg) than an unborn child.

Democracy didn't last long. Great to see all the crumblies and bead mumblers shuffling their way to obscurity.

Who cares? They are a tiny fringe group of bead-rattling weirdos and swivel-eyed neo-liberal whackjobs.

All those who think it's justifiable to end a life for their personal convenience. That is to say all those who are in favour of abortion on demand.

Skipping over "demand"...that's a pretty limited pool of people

Another confirmation of the very small mind set that thinks it's acceptable to end one unborn human life. let alone the thousands it would lead to just to have a dig at a religion that has nothing to do with the issue.

Try addressing the issue of ending human life for reasons of personal convenience on it's own merits.

Should a woman have the right to abort a foetus at 30 weeks' term?

I can't see any more than a small percentage answering "yes" to that
Make no difference to the life ended if it's killed at up to 12 weeks or 30 weeks, it's the same life, the same individual and it's just as dead either way.

So how many parties does that make it now that are pro-market, pro-individual liberties?

Up to 12 weeks or any other time limit is on demand.

asked who wasn't pro-life, you suggested those who want abortion on demand. I am suggesting that pool is very small, as sod all would want it on a 30 week foetus
