The current manager of the best football team in the island of Ireland Michael O Neil has accused the Republic of Irelands football organisation the FAI of sectarianism by selectively targeting Roman Catholic players.
Football Association of Ireland targets Catholic players - NI boss O'Neill - BBC Sport

This is disgraceful behaviour and typical of an organisation whose Chief executive sings Pro IRA songs.

Total and utter bollix, it's FA to do with religion and the fact he can't see that or fails to acknowledge it shows he is way off beam. If a player feels that he is Irish WTF would he stand for the British National anthem, get real and up the yard while at it.

What's in a players heart is what matters.

No problem,
and this coming from a Roman Catholic himself.
The Northern Irish boss, who is Catholic himself, said: "The FAI only ever approach one type of player: Catholic.
If that's not sectarianism, I don't know what is.

Why then are the FAI so sectarian then and only target Roman Catholics?

Why are using the term Roman Catholic as its not used by the manager?
Because that is the proper title. We are all catholics as in the Apostles creed.

Exactly so what's your problem?
I have no problem.
The FAI don't approach protestant players but the sectarian gits only approach Roman Catholics.
I wouldn't expect any less of an organisation that the boss sings pro IRA songs without adequate punishment.

The northern Ireland manager did not use the term "Roman Catholic" ! Your use of the term is offensive! You claim that its the proper term. Either prove you case or stop using it.

In the South nobody get's a sh!te what religion a person is and frankly it would never even enter one's mind, you boyos are obsessed with it and it seems to go to the heart of how you value folk, thanfully Britain is likewise with ROI, religion ain't an issue.

Lose the argument and switch the point of attack, IMO Delaney is a tool.
