Pedantry - the last resort of those with no argument.
Why do you resist as a default?

I made the comment that the Gay lobby openly lead the charge for abortion.

Yet you kick and scream in defiance against something that is patently true.

Except they did not 'lead it', my little bigot.

The repeal side won by a landslide - if you think that was down to that one article you're probably beyond deluded at this point.

His original claim is that LGBT activists were at the forefront of the campaign. That's not quite the same as saying that they drive the whole pro-abortion movement. LGBT activists were prominent in the campaign to repeal the 8th
No, to be pedantic about it (as I know you like to be) he is saying they actually led the campaign.

The people leading the charge on abortion were straight people, certainly not in the main gay people who are far less likely to be affected by it (unlike bisexuals). It is true that the vast majority of LGBT people are pro-choice though. Women and LGBT people both have experience being at the sharp end of social repression by the RCC and its puppets in the Oireachtas's and courts of the past.

There is abundant evidence. The Gay lobby was an out and proud abortion advocate.

Why would you deny it?

Yet the State now sanctions the injustice of abortion on unborn babies.

Yeah Fieldy, there is a big difference between voicing support, and 'leading the charge'...

Surprising. Democratic Louisiana governor to sign the ban on abortions...
Here's a poster who needs a course of instruction (Southern Democratic Politics 101?).

The Governor is one John Bel Edwards, a 'conservative' Democrat, 'pro-life' (that should go without saying, as he is a hard-line Roman Catholic of St Helena's parish, Amite), and pro-guns.

Then we'd have to consider the definition of a 'Blue Dog Democrat'. The original 'Blue Dog' was Dino in The Flintstones:

Is that a 'dog'? Or is it a 'dog in name only'? So 'Democrat in Name Only' = Dino = Blue-dog Democrat.

Just to further clarify and not intending to put words in your mouth, 'Blue Dogs' aren't equivalent to the extinct 'Dixiecrats' of the old South. The latter became staunch Republicans during and following the civil rights movement in the 1960s pursuant to the GOP's betrayal of its Lincoln legacy with its 'Southern Strategy' in order to increase its power.

Blue Dogs can be found anywhere in the US but particularly in rural areas where they lean moderate to left on many issues such as general civil rights relating to the person's background, health care, environment, workers, etc, but depart on things like abortion and gun issues given their sentiments and raising in such areas.

Not surprising though. Governor John Bel Edwards is a devout Roman Catholic and has always been open that he holds an anti-abortion position with exceptions for rape, incest and threats to life of the mother.

And in voting with his devout Roman Catholic conscience he is in this instance ironically doing a massive favour for his party.
This is a total vote killer for a GOP desperately needing moderate independent voters next year
Broadly equivalent to huge swathes of Fianna Fail starting a massive rural "repeal divorce and same sex marriage legislation" campaign
