Gallagher and Padraig O' Ceidigh
Birds of a feather
Failed businessmen masquerading as brilliant entrepreneurs

Part of a generation of spoofer Irish business men who were good at codding investors and government agencies into shelling out bucks, then never delivering anything
O'Ceidigh's Aer Arran remains for me one of the biggest jokes of a company of all time
Never had a hope for making a cent, just a loss making, subsidy devouring black hole.
And still they showered him with cash and a Senate seat

And both well able to ham up the "Whest of Ireland and border county begging bowl, give us a leg up" strategy

I'd vote for friggin Dana before either of these two sponging chancers

As they say in Finland he's a kassi man.

He hasn't a hope.

His and O'Ceidigh's bids are just a cheap way to to keep their profiles up
A few handy board gigs, an entrepreneurial worship show on RTE, a senate seat
idiots inviting them in to their companies to give motivational speeches.

Anything bar what both have bragged for 20 years they are good at, running successful, profitable companies

Nah, it will just be to raise his profile so he can raise another loan.
yep

The E&Y Enterpreneur of the Year was a great vehicle for these boyos to raise their profiles and get wads of cash thrown at them
O'Ceidigh won it for Aer Arran one year
Presumably for securing mass subsidies for a serial loss making business from his pals in Fianna Fail
What an entrepreneur.

Appropriately enough, O'Brien was its first winner
For having "won" (lol) the licensing bid.
