Very strange - The BBC report also quotes Mr Shannon who is chair of the Felon's Club :

Liam Shannon said he did not want to speculate as to who was behind the attack
Regardless of who was responsible, totally unacceptable behaviour.

Looks more like the dissidents are confident enough in their strength in the area that they can finally start to throw their weight around with former PIRA members and supporters.

Hopefully there won't be an escalation as it always seems to be innocent catholic children who suffer as a result of these internal Nationalist feuds. Poor Barbara McAlorum is testament to that.

I've heard of local drug dealers in the area getting beatings in recent weeks - with one notable family having their 24 year old son getting a severe beating. This was the last straw by many senior elements in the area in dealing with the drug dealing problem.

The family are very much against Disident Republicans and supported the son's beating - but the problem is rising in that area of young Adult rebelling against SF leaders within the area causing a serious devide which is threatening to spread beyond that area of the falls
