In the latest act of utter hypocrisy, NGOs aligned to Washington, Qatar and Saudi Arabia
have pushed for and succeeded in getting Russia kicked off the UNHRC, the UN Human Rights Council
while at the same time voting to return "human rights champions" Saudi Arabia to the fold..

https://www.rt.com/news/363943-un-human-rights-russia/
The NGOs, some of which are well known “respectful organizations,” have become “pawns in a propaganda war” as part of an “orchestrated campaign” against Russia, according to Peter Ford, a former British ambassador to Syria.

“It’s a great pity that they have allowed themselves to become pawns in a propaganda war. It seems this initiative has been orchestrated, it comes here right at the moment [when] the ceasefire of three days ended only because of violations from eastern Aleppo, from the rebel side. The call would have been more convincing had signatories shown any interest in...the suffering in western Aleppo at the hands of the rebels,“ Ford told RT.

“The double standards here are very striking,“ Ford added. “And this comes at a time when in Mosul, the Western coalition and allies are engaged in an operation very similar to Aleppo. With regard to that, the Western spokesmen just shrug their shoulders and say, “Well, civilian suffering is an inevitable part of operations.” But in the case of Aleppo, Russia and the Syrian government get all the blame.“
Readers will no doubt be aware of how these "human rights champions" in Saudi Arabia treat women, LGBT folk, dissenters, and currently millions of the poorest people on the planet in Yemen. Also how they funded trained and armed the very terrorists that have plagued Syria with the most horrific catalogue of rapes, torture and ethnic cleansing and whom the Russians are actually fighting in Aleppo, legally on request from the legitimate Syrian government (unlike coalition planes who are illegally acting in Syria and who recently bombed Syrian army forces during a cease fire)

Of course, Saudis DO have a lot of money and oil. And they do occasionally spread a little around for humanitarian causes abroad while bombing poor people with billions of dollars worth of US and UK supplied weaponry in Yemen and delivering thousands of lashes to peaceful critics of the monarchy, executing gay people, "witches" and apostates, and stoning adulterous women to death at home in the Saudi homeland. Nice.

The reason for this "decision" by the UNHRC is apparently civilian casualties as a result Russian bombing of terrorist positions in Aleppo while fighting these very same Saudi backed syrian rebels Al Nusra terrorists who have been relentlessly shelling citizens in eastern Aleppo with their Saudi and US supplied weaponry during the recent cease fire and who have been violently preventing innocent civilians leaving through humanitarian corridors, with a view towards using them as human shields like the cowardly terrorist scum that they are.

So...backing terrorists..OK.
Trying to get rid of those terrorists...NOT OK.
Not a whole lot of proof of these "allegations" either except some reports
from a highly suspect and dodgy group called the "white helmets".

No doubt people have noticed by now how, rather oddly, the media, almost in lockstep, have all but stopped talking about Al Nusra atrocities and killings in Syria though they continue as before.

Yet you would hardly even know they were even there from watching the western news. All you hear on the news is Russia this, Assad that. Apparently Russian bombs and bullets are designed to only hit schools, hospitals women and children. Not one dead syrian rebel terrorist in sight in Aleppo if our servile media is anything to go by.

In fact if you were to go by column inches, you'd likely believe the reason Russia was there in the first place was to bomb children and hospitals and terrorise civilians and not to actually drive out the very Saudi/Qatar/US proxy jihadist murdering scum that have terrorised and held the Syrian civilian population to ransom, and raped pillaged and laid waste to the country of Syria for years now.

Meanwhile US and allies are involved in exactly the same kind of military operation as Russia in Mosul Iraq.
Some think it's a convenient way of flushing thousands more terrorists into Syria to fight the russians since they have coincidentally left an open route in that direction for terrorists to flee. But mosul is a humanitarian catastrophe exactly like Aleppo. Again, lots of terrorists using people as human shields and shooting them if they try to escape. "Civilian casualties in such scenarios are inevitable" is the response and both the press and the UNHRC seem quite happy to accept that logic in regard to the Mosul operation. And indeed, hardly a peep coming from the aforementioned NGOs regarding Mosul, and certainly no talk of censure for the US from the UNHRC.
So..this kind of thing is "unavoidable" in Mosul but "a war crime" in Aleppo. Go figure.

I wonder, while voting the Saudis back on, did the UNHRC voters happen to remember a horrific "multi tap" bombing of a large Houthi funeral by the Saudis only recently? Multi tap is when you bomb people then bomb the rescuers that come to help the injured and dying afterwards.

And then there is the small matter of a previous assault on a place called Fallujah a few years back by a certain military who were again dealing with a scenario where hardened terrorists were mixed in with civilians. The US decided to make an example of them and launched a relentless assault which made liberal use of banned white phosphorous. The images afterwards of burnt twisted civilian corpses were truly horrific. Again, nothing much said by UNHRC on that occasion.

The NGOs behind this UNHRC action include USAID and NED.
NED are of course notably well known for their links to "colour revolutions"
and their dubious funding links

Have the UNHRC lost all credibility for their blatant hypocrisy and for allowing themselves to be used
in this manner for what is clearly a propaganda manoeuvre?

By taking the Shia side in the Muslim Thirty Years War, Russia has turned off the Sunni vote at the UNGA

Russia should have "donated" a few hundred million to the Hillary Clinton Foundation.

It's a good point actually, Russia and China could rule America (and therefore the world) by buying the US elections.

Yep, has to happen.
The US is very much a declining power for the simple reason that E Michael Jones has pointed out; they have treated their workers extrememly crap since the end of the Cold War and if you dont pay people decent wages they cant buy stuff. The thing is that in its death throes it could do a lot of harm to everyone else. Russophobia is invariably connected to Christomachy and hatred of the Socialist ideal- so as a Christian Socialist I can only loathe it.

Isn't Saudi-Arabia bombing the living hell out of Yemen, killing civilians on a daily Basis without UN-mandate?
Yes, but SA was the only country putting itself forward in its region, so it was unopposed.

My bet is the US leaned on the Euros not to vote Russia back on, given that their new "meme" is that the Syrian conflict is all about Russian human rights abuses. The US was kicked off the same committee back in 2001 when George Bush had managed to antagonise everyone.

Its all a bit huffy and puffy, as the committee itself has said, under Guterres anyway, that no solution in Syria was possible without Russia.

Thanks D.I.M., appreciate that, as it helps us to understand the truth about what is really happening throughout the world, and the cover up by western governments and the media. To me, the whole thing is evil, and please god, Theresa May and hopefully Donald Trump will lead the west out of the civil rights abuses being inflicted on peoples throughout the World.

And all for oil and the pocketing of dividends by big business interests, the New World Order so to speak, with the terrorists themselves being used as pawns by the governments and their embedded crooked media.

If Clinton somehow manages to get in, perhaps with the help of rigged voting, the crooked biased, and financed by MNC's, we can only expect more of the same.

Meanwhile, because of these population upheavals in the targeted Arab countries, and with the connivance of western governments, there is mass migration of alien Islamic migrants assisted by western navy's, including our own, to also upset the normal behaviour and culture in European societies.

Very good OP dammit, good to have it all put together in one post. The hypocrisy of appointing Saudi Arabia to a human rights council is just unbelievable.

Saudi Arabia the place where the only form of public entertainment is crucification, beheadings and stonings. But we will probable still listen to them when the UNHRC lectures us on what ever issue takes their fancy at the time.

Well Saudi's were chair of it last year.

ANY investigation in Yemen they said and they would stop all UN funding.
Next day investigation into Yemen was altered to suit the Saudi's.

Saudi's and Qatar have funded US and UK for last couple of years hence they get what they want.
