Will you be attending the rally on Friday?

AAA TD, Ruth Coppinger, is calling on people to stand up against Mr Trump's policies.

She said: "It's actually important that a mass movement is built now to bring Trump down.

"The minute Trump got elected, a signal had been given to people to openly express their racist views that they would have contained previously, and to take it out in terms of attacks on people - attacks on women, Muslims and so on."

Does the left wing have to look like these 2?

I used to be left leaning, but after looking at Murphy for long enough, now I am not so sure..

Do they think they're in America or something? If they want to oppose Trump, move to the USA and campaign for election. Numpties.

Ruth & Paul don't need to pay any heed to democracy, ours or the American's, if they want to "bring Trump down", down he must come. They know what's best for everyone.
Perhaps if she could have a word with him before he "steps up" so to speak, he might not bother at all?

Ruth & Paul are big into mass movements and the idea of street politics in general.. Of course they are also well steeped in populist politics. Trump is the latest perceived right wing bogeyman and is attracting similar attention in the USA and elsewhere. I have no problem with the expression of anti Trump views but I cringe at the immaturity and waste of political energy that the likes of Ruth & Paul expend on completely irrelevant shyte like this.

The rally is being organised by Anti-Austerity Alliance - People Before Profit TDs, along with a number of other anti-war and anti-racism groups.

Coppinger et al are pro war. They support Clinton and the Halawa fanatics, who hate independent-minded women

Have they checked the range of their ICBM's?

Perhaps Kim Jong Un might be able to assist, his ICBMS are best ICBMS EVER!!!!

Trump won't know what hit him! (He might not even notice to be fair....)

Hey are looking for recruits and to be hip - part of the radical broad front which includes the PD's McDowell. I'll be around town then and might go along to spot a few enemies

I mean w.t.f!

Sure, the little merry band of trots in Ireland are going to be at the forefront of bringing down the elected US president.

That must be because there are no more challenges for an Irish public representative to have to deal with...Ireland must be "fixed" now - there's no other explanation.

I don't think we can criticise the Americans who voted for Trump when we

have voters here who elect those two.

There must be no more problems in Ireland then if two TDs have the time to be prancing around waving placards about the elected leader of another country. Can't they leave that type of shíte to the students union and get back to doing their jobs?

I voted for her by default in the last GE and I knew I'd regret it. I actually listened to her say on RTE that the St Brigid's Cross on the local school's sign was exclusionary because her constituency is becoming more and more multicultural, and for some reason I still gave her the benefit of the doubt.

No more voting for any supposed left politicians in Ireland, ever. Out of touch, irrelevant, ineffective, don't understand the electorate due to some sort of echo-chamber which surrounds them.

They shaft you every time.

I wonder if Ruth wonders how Trump got elected and why so many Democrats switched to Trump at the last minute. Hmmm. Conundrum.

This is pure distraction politics, designed to get people to ignore Irish issues and concentrate on non issues for Irish people.

This will be purely to discredit the Irish left. Also they will bring Irish jobs in to the Trump spotlight who might decide they are better back in USA.

We do not need this sort of idiotic behaviour, while trump is in office.

Wonder what Ruth thinks about young female protesters for Ibrahim Halawa being segregated from the males outside the Egyptian embassy here.

That gets a free pass from Ruth.
