Yes great article.

Where she wrote, 'get on board, get on the board' - I would have added 'get those lovely board fees' - because all these people who did not ask questions were getting very well paid for attending a few meetings and in some cases - like the Anglo Board - the fees were enough for a comfortable lifestyle without DOING ANY OTHER WORK.

Good point.
Consensus is an excuse for lack of leadership - hence Bertie and Cowan employed lots of it. Consensus is typified by the Social Partnership agreements -which to a very large extent are responsible for the economic mess we are in.

Why is this woman so hated by posters on this site? She's on the money, only stating the obvious but on the money nonetheless.
Beacuse there's pleny on this site who loved the cosy consensus of the last ten years or so and benefitted greatly from it.

Excellent article alright and not necessarily obvious to all, a squabbling open discussion seems less sure of its conclusions than a closed tyranny does. However as she points out, for democracy to function there has to be debate.

Sarah of course gets it right. Her comments about McErlean and Morgan Kelly are very appropriate. As another poster said, the Bertie consensus is only thing missing.

Excellent article, but very naive of Sarah to expect FF to reward a whistle blower or a boat-rocker! In that depraved party, loyalty is the only thing that matters. Just ask Des O'Malley.
