No. It's called allowing the Market to price labour. The reason that the govt pays 500,000 people €196 a week is because the price fixing of labour in the economy means the Market can't afford to hire. Why does the govt insist on fixed wage agreements and a minm wage of €8.65 an hour but it's ok for the govt to pay €5 an hour to those on the dole? Fixed wage agreements are subsidised by keeping half a million other citizens on the dole: non union workers obviously. ;)

Is it a bit strange that they have no Labour rep on the panel in the week that Labour surge to 35% in the polls?

It would have been nice to hear Rabbitte dealing with Shatter's hissy fit about Lab. I can almost hear him saying "You know Alan, you might be higher in the polls if you opposed the government instead of the opposition."
