The expansion of the Ulster scots empire through the metropolis that is larne has a certain appeal. However imho it should be on second tier when it comes to infrastructure improvements, personally moi would prefer the provision of a dual carriageway on top of the border wall...

Not sure the geology is right. Remember reading something about this twenty years ago in Queen's. That said, he could practice by finally building the narrow water bridge...

Hah. He speaks of a "heavy volume of traffic coming across". I beg to differ. I also oppose it on grounds that it would encourage illegal immigration.

It would be a bit windy.
Couple of million tons of WW1&2 explosives to float over as well, but aside from that it's feasible as a structure , will strengthen the union, make the invasion of Scotland handier, would be great to march across, Old firm fans could meet for a chat at the P stops, and best of all ye could hang a hell of a lot of flegs from it...

And when Scotland goes independent and Ireland is united it will be great to have a land bridge with another EU country.

The deepest water in the Irish Sea is between Scotland and the north. You'd have to do some pile driving to get to the bedrock to build a bridge. Perhaps Sammy wants to build a bridge an get over it.
