Senator Alan Kelly and his neo con funding links?

The 2008 SIPO report on political donations showed that Labour's Alan Kelly was the biggest receiver of personal/corporate donations in the Oireachtas at circa €35k. Among those those donations were 3 from the same address - €2400 each from Nessa and Michael Madden and a donation of €5000 from RONOC International, €2500 of which was subsequently returned. A net donation of €7300. Michael Madden is the MD of RONOC International as well other companies. RONOC and its associated companies are involved in financial services such as money transfer.
29/04/09 - Donations Disclosed by TDs, Senators and MEPs for 2008, Standards in Public Office Commission

There is nothing untoward with the above, however, if you do a google of RONOC International and Michael Madden the MD you are drawn to a link between them and what can be best described as a UK based neo con think tank called 'The Defence and Security Forum'. www.defenceandsecurity.com

The Defence and Security Forum describe themselves as:
The Defence and Security Forum was founded by Lady Olga Maitland in 1983. It was originally a campaigning organisation known as Families for Defence launched to challenge the anti-nuclear protest movements such as CND. Families for Defence’s remit was to promote the NATO case for multilateral nuclear disarmament. In the course of doing so the purpose was to focus on the importance of a proper provision for the defence of the United Kingdom.
It appears that Mr Madden was a speaker at a conference on April 6-7th this year at the 'Naval and Military Club, St James Sq., London' organised by The Defence and Security Forum. The conference was on the financial global trade and money transfer.

The links are tangential for sure but very odd for an alleged 'Socialist' Labour Party Senator and aspiring MEP. Declan Ganley has been berated in the media and of course on p.ie for not a lot more in speaking at such conferences, yet not a word about a Labour Senator who is being partially financed by some very curious links?

OMM, do you now intend to target Alan Kelly in the same way? Or is that treatment only reserved for opponents of the democratically-rejected Lisbon Treaty?

A lazy term of abuse used by socialists against anyone who disagrees with them.
Correct. Libertas have not called for the extermination of millions of human-beings in concentration camps, 'Living Space', euthanasia against the elderly etc. That is fascism.

Well across Europe when someone suggests tighter immigration-controls, the Left shout "racist" straight away. That's how we know, cactusflower.

Alan Kelly is from a small farm background. He grew up in Portroe, North Tipperary, and studied English and History in UCC, examing the political history of County Tipperary for his Masters degree, before completing an MBS at University College Dublin.

He was elected to the Seanad in 2007 and is his party's spokesperson on finance. He also sits on the Oireachtas Committee on European Scrutiny.
That's all I could see.

And ganley is also a member of the same club
Who said Alan Kelly is a member? Do you make everything about Ganley? You're an obsessive oddball.

neo conism is a strange and dangerous affair
It might be if you actually knew what it was.

You are mixing up your isms , the above sounds more like Nazism ...funniliy enough Libertas have a lady who supports those very policies re the family speaking at a meeting soon
After missing the deadline to submit its own candidates, the AUF’s 11 election candidates have agreed to support Libertas if elected.

The joint campaign will be launched in Frankfurt with a speech by Eva Herman, a German newsreader sacked two years ago for praising Nazi family policies.
Libertas? Nein Danke! Say NO to Europe's New Right Wing: Lech Walesa for Dublin and supporter of Nazis for Libertas meeting in Germany

Cookie are you a member of the Brit military club? i never said the labour guy was why are you pretending I did? You should confine you asides to the League of Polish family or some of the other Libertas holocaust deniers in Poland.

She did no such thing. That is a flat-out lie and you should retract it.

What actually led to that allegation was as follows:

In October 2007 she was invited to the German Talkshow "Johannes B. Kerner" to be interviewed about the controversy caused by her books. When the presenter brought up the controversial Nazi statement and urged her to apologise, she maintained that she could not possibly apologise for something she had never actually said or even meant. She was asked to leave the show when other guests chastised her statements as unbearable and questioned Mrs Herman's authority as a critic of the 68 movement. This led to a media outrage and to a polarised debate about political correctness and freedom of opinions. The show (which was aired only some time after recording, uncut) and the presenting-style was compared to a witch-hunt and described as a "media execution" by some who believe Mrs Herman was deliberately misunderstood by the moderator who pressed for the effect. Others voiced support for the moderator and pointed out that someone as experienced with the media as Eva Herman could and should have made his position and opinions more clear, without Nazi undertones.
Her employer, the North-German Broadcasting Station NDR, laid her off afterwards; the programming director of the NDR, Volker Herres, commented: "Mrs Hermann is free to continue her Mutterkreuzzug (neologism from Kreuzzug, crusade, and Mutterkreuz, a Nazi medal for women with four children or more), but this is no longer conformable with the role of a NDR TV anchorwoman." is this whole thread just another Libertas smear campaign then? It generally will back fire on them .................
What the hell are you talking about? It's not about Libertas at all, it's somewhat oddly about Alan Kelly. You're the one who brought Libertas into it, you bring Libertas into everything. It's very weird.
