She can do a whole lot better than than in her law career. She doesn't need politics but has a lot of offer in my view.
Funny how she was not left on the ticket with Leo and foisted on Dublin Bay North

It won't be one bit funny for her, DBN likes to shoot down parachutists before they can get their boots on the ground. She is just one in a long line.

Blueshirts or Bluejackets?
Really living up to their (nick)name, aren't they?
Surprising that they did not have a few in RIC/ Dublin Metropolitan Police Iniforms !

They must not have been able to get them ready in time for the Election !

To paraphrase ‘ Some mother do have em '

“ Fine Gael do have em ! "
Noone, Bailey & the Murphy wan from Wexford !!!!
where do the Blueshirts get em.

it's a long time now since the late George Colley described the typical female FG TD's of the time as -

Articulate well-heeled women.

they haven't changed much over the years.

I've always been able to explain the difference between FF women and FG women by using the drawing room piano analogy. The FG can probably play something on it while the FF girl will spend most of her time figuring out how the piano could be nicked silently in the middle of the night.

My guess is that she was a long shot to win a seat and has got longer.

This really bad for FG. She's still a major problem and they've backstepped on suspending her voting pact. She's a symptom of a lot that's wrong with FG. Basically Varadkar seems to be acting like it is an election for him and him only. Noone should never have made it to election candidate stage as she is too much of a loose cannon. It may not look like it at the moment but FG is currently fighting a battle to stop itself becoming the third largest party in Irish politics. The more it screws up like this and the more fails to demonstrate joined-up thinking at a leadership level, the more of a chance SF has to overtake it. Though it seems impossible, with candidates like Noone and poor leadership by Varadkar and allowing FG's screw-ups to dominate the news cycle, SF could end up with more seats than FG. And if it happens, it will be due to FG's clown car cabinet with Noone driving.

Have to say that SF have been the major beneficiaries of FF attempting an election with Billy the Kid at the helm, and Fine Gael being weirdly slow about discipline within their own party.

If this keeps up we might see something unusual. An opposition party climbing in the polls against the incumbents without having to say a word. Mind you, FG should be aware of this as they benefited from exactly that in the run up to 2011.

You'd think they'd realise the danger. I'm sure Varadkar knows he has nothing to gain by allowing Noone to distract everyone with a perceived battle between her and him so he's staying fairly quiet and laid back. He seems smart enough not to get suckered in by an overpromoted amateur but the party really should be moving on this.

Was Noone in YFG at the same time as Varadkar, Creighton and McGuirk?
