Seen this over at the hilarious Loyalists Against Democracy FB page, which has been relentlessly lampooning the flag protestors in the north for the past couple of months.
Sounds like something a lunatic from Cork might say.Democracy is a bulwark against tyranny but, as events in Germany in the 1930s show, democracy isn't strong enough to stand up to the lethal cocktail of nationalism and socialism espoused by the Provos and their fellow travellers. The normally reliable democrats of the Alliance Party and the SDLP have sadly been seduced into joining the ranks of the deadly Provisional Panzer divisions. Thus Northern Ireland in 2013 is in real danger of becoming a cold house for decent law-abiding Protestants and unionists in much the same way that formerly civilised countries such as France, Poland and the Netherlands became hostile to Jews the very day the Wehrmacht rolled in.
One man who recognised this was visionary Soviet supremo Josef Stalin, who watched how the Nazis ruthlessly exploited the weaknesses of the western democracies until finally, they were able impose their genocidal will. It was only thanks to the brilliance, the cunning and yes, the total ruthlessness of Stalin that national socialism was defeated on the field of battle and freedom preserved in the west.
So while I'm all for democracy, so long as it works, the Provos and their useful idiots in the Alliance Party have gone too far in tearing down the Union flag from Belfast City Hall. The time has come to draw a line in the Ulster sand and embrace the undemocratic legacy of Uncle Joe Stalin. Let the streets flow red that the sovereign standard might resume its rightful place over the citadel.
