The Sunday Tribune tomorrow quotes a "senior party figure" in Fianna Fail who says the party were spoofing last week over the arrival of the IMF this week.

The paper also reports that the party are furious with Cowen's handling of things before the imminent arrival of the IMF.

The Sunday Independent reported last Sunday that Cowen was furious with the BBC for reporting that the IMF's arrival in Ireland wasn't a case or whether, but when. The IMF arrived four days later.

BBC Radio2 News this evening saying that the rate of Corporate tax will go up in Ireland.
If Brian Lenihan says it definitely won't go up, that means it definitely will....

FF seem to be trying to change the english language in Ireland, bailout now means loan and lying means spoofing, ah sure that makes things much better, wonder what thell come up with for inbred, simple, psycotic, delusional and not wanted.

If this is true, coupled with them spoofing us, the Irish people need to tell the goverment they have until the end of the week to vacate the building, otherwise there will be serious civil unrest.

The Corp. tax may not go up, but don't be surprised to see Lenihan introduce a new levy of some kind.

Spoofing. What a nice gentle comical kind of word to use when they mean lying. Sickening.

A disgusting sellout to rival the Act of Union. And a breach of the so-called 'tax-guarantees'. What is clear is that the warnings of the no to Lisbon campaign are coming to pass.

They were not able to manage the country. How the hell could they manage these controlled leaks. Jeeze where are the real whistleblowers when they are needed? The whole lot are like a flock of headless chickens.

It is nothing to do with Lisbon and everything to do with the incompetent way the country was run.

Are you calling on the ABFF to come up to the rostrum and tell us how they can do a better job than FF ? The only thing that happens next is the ABFF continuing to lie and spoof their way to power on the back of demonising FF

Off the record comments are worthless and have been around since the beginning of time and for me, no matter who the victim is, a main reason why the media generate cynicism in the profession
