Not that he has done much, probably less than actual secretary of states but Owen Smith has been sacked as the Shadow Northern Ireland Secretary tonight.

It appears he had a view on Brexit and the effect it will have on Northern Ireland that was not in line with that of Jeremy Corbyn. He will be replaced by Rochdale MP Tony Lloyd, the current shadow secretary for housing. The fact he is a MP from Rochdale is quite alarming.

Owen Smith

@OwenSmith_MP
Just been sacked by @jeremycorbyn for my long held views on the damage #Brexit will do to the Good Friday Agreement & the economy of the entire U.K. Those views are shared by Labour members & supporters and I will continue to speak up for them, and in the interest of our country.

Tony Blair felt threatened by Mo Mowlam, Smith opposed Corbyn last year for the leadership of the socialists............could there be a link somewhere there?

Mo was accredited with best ever SOS for the six counties and Smith appeared to be following in her footsteps......comments please?

Jezza feeling emboldened after his faction took control of the NEC this week. Also Blairite MP Dan Jarvis who wants to run for mayor (not sure where) has been told he cannot remain an MP if he does that.

Marvelous. Well done Jeremy, I have my disagreements with him but he has done the right thing here.

He's sacked a neoliberal from the shadow cabinet of the Labour Party. Imagine that?

Don't believe for one second that Owen Smith gives a f-uck about N Ireland, he only pretends to care now because it advances the globalist EU agenda.

Who cares it's the shadow cabinet, it has no relevance, and are never going to be in power under Corbyn.

More madness and crazy comments from our usual onionist crackpots.........

The day when shadow government's become irrelevant it means the end of civilisation as we experience today, anything but perfect, but the alternative is complete breakdown of all democracy.

Appears our onionist contributors are OK with that, particularly the forums pet poodle.

I hate to tell you, but Smith wasn't a Secretary of State.

Get back over to the referendum thread and answer the questions you've been dodging.
What exactly are you talking about?

I've posted three times in it and replied to posts directed at me.

One was saying my opinion based on the OP that nothing much would change in day to day life.

Once replying to 'What goes on in Belfast that's actually important?' by saying Prince Harry and his wife to be arrived today

One in reply to Mickey in regards to what the event might have been about.

Whatever questions you think I am dodging, I would be interested in seeing them... as my discussion and interaction in that thread has been very limited. So please, in that thread quote the 'questions I am dodging' and I will respond.

While I may disagree with Labour a lot under Corbyn (And the Blair/Iraq years) I do think Owen Smith actually was showing actual concerns about Brexit and the impact here. More than most in England actually are. (No this does not make me a 'remoaner')

It's an ego trip with Corbyn, he has shown time and again that despite being a rebel going against the party most of his career, once in a position of power he will sack anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with whatever he says.

Right now we are looking at the weakest Tory government in a long time, and honestly, under Corbyn, Labour won't be able to get near them. Which means more years of Tory sh1t.

I say shame on all British politicians, they know and always knew the solution to the false border they created was unification, think of all the lives that could have been saved by the people of another Country (England) who steadfastly pursued their imperialism.

Shameful IMO and should be subject to International Law.

Apologies. I replied to the wrong poster. You didn't dodge any questions. Consider the statement withdrawn.
