Shin Flake Councillor and English born planter Debbie Coyle attacked the organisers of a scout parade for daring to hold a parade and church service...

A SINN Fein councillor says she is considering reporting a children's Scout Parade in Enniskillen to the Parades Commission.
During Tuesday night's Full Council meeting Debbie Coyle told colleagues that she was aware a confirmation, involving over 100 children, had been taking place at St. Michael's Church in Enniskillen at the time that a band had been playing outside on the street.
Making it clear she was unaware of who the band was, or what organisation it was affiliated with

Councillor

Now as it turns out there were 3 silver bands at the parade all of which the council pay to attend the St paddys day parade and both churches had been in touch with each other before hand, but sure never let the reality get in the way of a cheap shot at themuns...

Katrina Armstong, Fermanagh Scouts County Commissioner said the parade had been properly notified to the Parades Commission - and that a timing mix-up had meant the two church services had overlapped.

She said: "Our service was originally timed to finish 15 minutes before the service in St Michael's.

"We were aware that a service was happening in the chapel across the road. Unfortunately, our service overran and our parade was still forming up as the St Michael's service was finished, which meant that their church doors were open."

The Scout leader said that the association was open to all faith denominations and none and it was never their intention to offend.

It is Sinn Féin not Shin Flake. Regarding equality: Do Unionists ever do anything else besides marching? Do they have jobs? There is no chance that S.F will go into a coalition in Stormont with any Unionists from Fermanagh.
Bíonn tú ag caint ráiméis.
The Parades commision is not liked by Loyalists because it stops them and their beloved "marches" LOL I hope though that a compromise can be found to any disputes.

Shin Flake is spelt Sinn Féin. Are you and your Orange men/women illiterate? Oh I forgot you hate the Irish language.

Still, better than the days of Martin McGuinness when he was involved in the Tullyhommon attempted bombing of a kid's church parade ....

I don't like the derogatory way the O.P uses against the Irish language- Sinn Féin. Not a lot of respect shown really imho.
There was a mix up over a march that is what was involved here.

The Scouts are a good organization. They do a lot of good work. This was an unfortunate case of bad timing. The Scouts parade clashed with a confirmation.

To be fair to the SF councillor, she makes an important point. The scouts need to pay more attention. This sort of thing could shatter the peace process and bring down the GFA.

Badden Powell after all dressed young boys up in military uniform and got them to fight the Boers. You really got to watch his outfit closely. Give them a chance and they'll start it all over again.

Yawn, yet another pointless SF thread by a poster who's entire life is essentially one ongoing obsession with SF and an ever failing lonely one man mission to change the world's view on SF. Great fun to watch someone fail post by post, day by day, year by year. My goodness, it either grates you to utter dementia that they humbled the British army, dismantled the Orange state and assumed joint power of a much more normalised NI or you actually adore their existence and get all of your life's purpose and joy from following them. Only someone afflicted by one or the other could be so committed to boring the rest of the world to death. Go and watch the Eurovision and take a break for once. Give yourself a rest. You need it. They'll still be there when you get back. And next year, and the year after, and the year after that.....

Why don't Orange men and women emigrate back to Scotland. The Scots are in the process of trying to leave the Union.
The SNP held a huge march last weekend. If you are British why don't you move back?

Why don't you Orangies leave and go back to England? This is Ireland. There is none of those horrible Sinn Feiners in England either.
There is plenty of ethnic minorities though, which probably would not suit the Orange order.
Go back to Scotland- if you hate N.I so much!
Lets send the Orangies back to England. They are needed there now with Brexit. They can march all day every day over there- with no S.F to stop them LOL
No wonder N.I is a basket case. The Orangies spend from early May to late August every year marching. Yes- Marching.
No work, no sport, no employment, no festivals- March, March and March again.
Thanks be to God we kicked the Orange men out of here in 1921. Unlike N.I we have jobs, an economy and families.
We don't have the time to be MARCHING MARCHING MARCHING
Saturday meltdowns are always the funniest, hopefully yer meds are on the way, be strong the farce tis with you...

If they was playing when a service was on why would you object to someone taking the issue to the parades body. It is an issue and should be taken into consideration. The law must apply to everyone no matter who they are. If the Scouts made a mistake they need to inform the parading body and get it sorted. That is everyone being treated equally regardless of who they are.

She's not taking the issue to the commission, she's not that daft.
