Small s, the 5m was reported at the time. The comment 18 months later directly references this.

And you are hinting that something nefarious went on because it was thrown straight at the mortgage.

Interesting to see that behind the scenes the head of the FAI was busily setting up a bonus day for himself directly out of the payoff from FIFA over the Henry handball.

How can that be said to be representing the interests of Irish soccer in any way, shape or form?
Its clearly not, which is why he hasn't gotten anything.

Yes, I am alleging something was very wrong about the whole handling of the 5m and it needs to be re-investigated whilst Del Boy is busy gardening at his new gaff, which we don't know yet if he paid for it or FAI have agreed to pay his mortgage.

It's really all totally up in the air BD - eh, don't you agree, nobody really knows yet what Del Boy was up to.

You are not alone in your concerns many were raised at the time internationally not so much in the Irish Media. There were many unanswered questions such as
# why did it take years to be revealed
# why did it not appear in accounts
# why was there so many conflicting reports on the amount + the reasons given for receiving it ..explained differently at various stages ie a loan which was later written off if we did not qualify, a settlement for the handball incident, an ooc settlement .....so what exactly was it & why not reveal at the outset. The confidentiality clause related to the figure involved not the actual payment.

Poor small "s" is still taking the "Israel Folau" saga badly!
We know why.
Poor small "s" still is afraid of the thread, even though he claims to be a rugby supporter!
Instead, he's on a soccer thread while continuing to ignore the refusal of the IRFU to disclose the salary of Brown, their CEO!
Poor "stanley".
Tiresome!!

From debt free in 2020 - as promised by the former CEO, Exec VP & now Gardening Leave on Full Pay Exec VP - to be so cash strapped as to require a €10M Bail out.

Feel terribly sorry for all the young aspiring footballers all over Ireland, the current players, coaches, voluntary trainers and nonboard level staff......the greed, incompetence & possibly much more serious actions of those in power at the organisation led it to the cliff edge

You're right.
Poor small "s" should be spending more time discussing his love for the rugby fraternity on this site.
Yet he runs away from the "Israel Folau" thread!
Why?

FAI €10M bail out by UEFA .....

Guess who will be at the front of the queue with outstretched hands wanting his contract paid out 100%, he will probably also want 20% of the 10m bailout as were it not for him the 10m would not have been offered.

Twisted logic, yes, but this is where Del Boy thrives, never knowingly undersold himself or his insatiable greed.
