Should it be illegal to park at the pre-pay pump, fill up the car, and then pay in the shop?

Perhaps the Citizens' Convention could discuss this?

Are there any other driving habits that should be outlawed?

Driving old or cheap cars. Keep plebs off the road and on the bus.

If there is a bus. Not like they have anywhere important to go anyway.

Why should they get there faster than me?

Auto driving Mercedes on RTE now. What a joke. Technology is moving way too fast.

Pulling out on traffic on main roads (especially N roads), when there is a big clear space behind oncoming traffic & then not driving with traffic.
So oncoming traffic is doing 80-100 kph car pulling out then drives at ca. 50 kph.

Quite often done by older & less experienced drivers who seemingly lack common sense, road manners as well as ability to judge speed & distance.

If in doubt don't pull out.

Also bikes hurtling around central Dublin.

You may not have anywhere important to go either, only you're getting to the unimportant quicker than us plebs.

You may get to driverless cars quicker than the rest of us, ok, ok, there will be some kind of override on the dash, but, are you really saying you'd prefer your somewhat remote experience to our four wheels on the ground, we're driving this baby, and know what every knock and groan means?

meh.

Ah, no. Self driving cars are a crime against humanity.

Ban them now!

https://electrek.co/2016/09/14/another-fatal-tesla-autopilot-crash-emerges-model-s-hits-a-streetsweeper-truck-caught-on-dashcam/

New reports are coming out of China today claiming that the first fatality in a Tesla Model S on Autopilot was not the widely-covered crash in Florida in May 2016 that resulted in the death of Joshua Brown, but actually an accident in China in January 2016.

The accident was under investigation for the first half of the year, but the family of the victim reportedly sued ‘Tesla China’ back in July and now details of the crash are coming to light in the Chinese media.

A video of the accident was captured by the dashcam of the Tesla Model S driver, a 23-year man borrowing his dad’s car according to a report (Chinese). He was driving on the highway reportedly in the Hong Kong and Macao jurisdiction when his car hit a streetsweeper truck on the side of the road at highway speed, killing the driver.

The police found no sign that the vehicle applied the brakes before hitting the truck and the reports claims that the Autopilot was engaged at the time of the accident.
You have to wonder about the ethics of Tesla's approach.. he's a tech we want you to test.. you shouldn't rely on it and should stay focused on the road with your hands on the wheel, though..

BTW it's a tech designed to eventually enable you to drive without having to stay focused on the road and with your hands off the wheel!!

Like people won't abuse that capability... SMH.
