Simon Harris is as useless a Minister for Health as Eoghan Murphy is useless in Housing!

Despite political liar Vardkars crocodile tears and his pet runt Simon Harris promising a fast tracked legal process and a CervicalCheck program to be finished last May it turns out the CervicalCheck program hasn't even begun! Cervical cancer victims are being stone walled legally by the HSE as well. Harris in Health is obviously doing his utmost to out un-achieve Murphy's lack of success in increasing housing supply. Behind closed doors these ineffective wasters must be laughing hysterically up their sleeves at the plight of the victims of FFG's government policies in Health and Housing. People are dying and they don't give a damn!.

Physical checks of 3,000 smear tests haven't started yet - they should have been done by June

AN INDEPENDENT REVIEW into over 3,000 cervical smear checks has not yet begun despite it being expected to have been completed by the start of June.

Cervical cancer controversy: Number of women affected rises to 221
Thirty-five legal cases being taken against screening service over misdiagnosis claims, Dáil committee is told

Time for an election and time for these useless pets of Varadkar to be dumped from government!

Typical FG - too much vanity, too little ability.

There is no opposition in the Dail.
If there was an motion of no confidence would be on the agenda.

Not a fan of FG (too subservient to the cossetted professions) generally but Harris is a vast improvement on Varadkar. Under Varadkar the DOH was effectively being run by the Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan based on the needs of his doctor mates.
In truth it would have been hard to be worse then Leo who as we know ran away from Health to have more time to canvass for the leadership job.

Varadkar stating there should be disclosure, in regard to CervicalCheck, after he did a u turn and declined to make it mandatory as Minister for Health has to be the most two faced act I have heard from a politician in a long time.
The media luvvies are worse for not calling him out on it.

What exactly is Harris supposed to do here? This is a HSE problem, yet again, and every minister since the foundation of the State has been to blame for the severe failings of the health service.

Murphy had to deal a legacy of Coveney and ministerial decision-making with an objective of producing impressive PR statements, that were inconsequential and hollow.

I don't blame Murphy. Coveney did SFA - except sound like he was doing something - before Murphy.

There is a curse in the current cabinet - to be in charge of a department after Coveney.

LV as MoH spent most of the time talking about the DoH as if he was the opposition spokesperson on health.

Seriously, why does some d1psh1t who can't even write a simple sentence (the thread title) without messing it up think he or she can for a moment pass judgement on people who do difficult jobs?

Utterly deluded. Please learn to express yourself, then come back and try again.

The doctors told Holohan what to do do and Holohan told Leo

No need to, its now public knowledge that Leo did a u turn on implementing mandatory disclosure.
Leo stated he was implementing it , "unamed vested interest groups" lobbied the CMO and the CMO told Leo not to implement it.

good summation here of it if you're interested :

https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/less-shouting-and-more-legislating-by-tds-would-have-served-vicky-phelan-better-1.3484490

Leo then had the brass neck to say the HSE should disclose after the Cervical Check scandal broke.
Why would they if u told them they dont have to Leo ?

Harris is now supposedly going to do what Leo failed to.

Far be it for me to defend Tony O'Brien but the media luvvies really should have been calling for Leos head.

He could care.

Harris is still focused on getting the abortion legislation over the line, where his journalist lickspittles are waiting with the champagne.

I said it when this whole can of worms burst open in their laps, they would delay and deflect and would have as many excuses for the delays as there were cases mis-read, at that time I figured they wanted to hold out as long as possible to keep costs down as dead women can't sue but now I am thinking that there is something much more explosive to be revealed in this scandal and that the bastards are protecting a company or a deal or an individual who is at the centre of the whole thing!

The headline should read -

Simon Harris is as useless a Minister for Health as Eoghan Murphy is useless in Housing

All you need to look at is the record waiting lists (to go with the record homeless numbers)

Coveney is far too busy attempting to implement his globalisation agenda to bother with little old problems at home, I saw some slick PR video on facebook, for the govt's attempt to win a UN Security Council seat, they got absolutely slated in the comments, nobody is buying their bu1lsh1t anymore.

Harris manages to beat Coveney, at everything...except being as useless.
