Jody Corcoran - Pieces of S*** #10

Brace yourselves for Adams in the Aras - National News, Frontpage - Independent.ie

In that campaign, I expect Fine Gael to lose further support when its leader, Enda Kenny, is exposed as the man he is, which is of another time. The leaders' debate should be fascinating in that regard.
This guy really is the pits. Deplorable journalist of the absolute worst kind... and thats never mind his predictions...

In other words, folks, brace yourself for Taoiseach Gilmore, Tanaiste O Caolain and President Adams; for a new centre-right party of old Fine Gael and old Fianna Fail, led by Varadkar; for a return of the punt and of the old, great EEC; and for all of this by 2016.

He's just a "journalistic" rent boy dishing out swill to the pigs who like that kind of stuff. In the same tradition as Yawn Harris, Rude Diddling-Edwards, the late unlamented Jonathan Philbin Bowman and sundry other purveyors of Celtic Cringe tosh and sh1tting-in-one's own-nest putting down of everything that smacks of Irish people being proud of themselves and wanting the best for their country.:mad::mad:

More FF promotion from a disgrace,

damaging labour by stoking fear in a leftie boogie man government...

Sinn Féin history lesson to remind the "younger readers" of why we should think like Jody...

FG with their leader who has a Mayo accent, really soft target for this kind of cheap journalism...

FF not mentioned, although I'm fairly sure in the next chapter next week, they are the white knight to save us from this.

Worst thing is he's trying to argue that a left/right wing divide is some terrible thing to be feared and using Leo as a tool to further the fear that the right that will emerge to combat the commies will lead some Genghis Khan outfit leaving the Irish state with a terrifying political prospect.

As if a bunch of centrist gombeens won't be elected in their droves again as they always have every election in the history of our state.

Disgraceful propaganda, with our leading newspaper at this, our state is in far worse condition than we'd like to think it is...

The SF bash has begun in earnest already (does it ever stop?). Only two days since SF polled 16%, the Sindo has at least two articles warning of the prospect of them in government.
Not so long ago, Gilmore was being lauded by this rag, as it became apparent that FF's days in government were over. FG's turn in power was overdue but they dont have the numbers, so how about buttering up the 'left' in the form of Labour - no harm in a bit of socialism in government as long as they are the minority party.
But now with a firm swing to left-wing parties, the ascent of FG to power is no longer a forgone conclusion. So the media campaign to retain government power in the hands of the hard-right has begun.

Time to fight back:-

1. Dont buy the Sindo
2. If you do, email, or write to them, rejecting their agenda
3. If you dont disagree with their agenda, then you need to wake up!

Typical from the rag that brought us " payback time " in 1997. Corcoran is a journalist of the lowest order and he is at home among his own kind.

Yes, it's disgraceful when journalists start treating dreamy left-wing parties like responsible adults the minute they have a chance of power.
Please elaborate...

There are a lot of posters on here with distinct agendas so it's tricky to decipher the exact point of vague posts like this one.

You seem to want people to discuss a pan-left alliance as a legitimate option in our politics. However, once someone criticises such an alliance, it suddenly becomes unacceptable to discuss it and we have to talk about Labour purely as a force of opposition to the present temporary government, rather than as a party that may seek to govern itself.

The rent boy Corcoran and his filthy paper are throwing in their last scare card - a Labour/SF government. The reality is that such a gov could not do as much damage to the country as what Sindo, Sir Anto and the likes of Jody, Harris, Bertie, McCreevy, Biffo, Seanie, Fingers have done. The good news is no one heeds this rag anymore, even if they attempted another payback front page. Thats what happens when you cry wolf too often

Thanks,

just to clarify, I've no interest in a left wing government,

and from my viewpoint there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of one being formed in the next Dáil, so my point really centres around Corcoran's blatant attempt to influence readers by making them think there is an apparent danger in a left wing government, through the left's contamination with Sinn Féin's terrorism.

He also goes out of his was to highlight Leo as some kind of Thatcher figure, that is the only option the poor Irish sop electorate will have to oppose this scary commie regime if the doomsday scenario he predicts sets in motion.

Of course he ensures he doesn't miss the opportunity to use his column inches to dig at Enda Kenny...

Leaving the reader under no illusions that only a FF vote can save us from this future abyss.

Anyone who thinks FF will get under 35 seats in the next election is either delusional or attempting through deception to stoke the fears in the wavering faithful to get out and vote for the soldiers to prevent the apocalypse.

FF/FG will get just around 100 seats combined in the next Dail, this left wing 'rise' is a load of crap that is currently being fabricated to get people back to their senses and vote for the traitors.

Its nothing to do with left-right, its the way the argument is phrased. The hint that Kenny needs to be 'exposed as the man he is' ?? wtf!!! Incase Jody forgot, he was FG leader in the GE 07 election - its just a smear.

Its this sort of baseless character assassination that Corcoran and his ilk engage in is just appalling, no matter if its left, right, up, down etc.

It is time to organise protests outside RTE, Indo newspapers, and all these 'Journalists' homes who try to poison the minds of the Irish people and continuously push the FF traitor and treason agenda.
They should be run out of media, just like drug dealers were run out of socially deprived areas years ago by citizen groups using vocal protests outside the offenders homes.
It will be beneficial for the Irish community as a whole if this begins to happen.
Bring plenty of eggs too.

Makes one even more sympathetic than ever for Gene Kerrigan, a real journalist, having to share the same paper with faux journalists like Corcoran, Harris, O'Dea & Larkin. Look on the bright side - it won't be much longer before the Sindo will also include other half-witted P45-bearing FFers like Coughlan writing about the origins of life, Mansergh on the social habits of laughing hyenas and Biffo on the merits of good communication skills. The Sindo long ago ceased to qualify evn as toilet fodder.

I think you have a point insofar as that a 16% poll for SF will probably not be sustained to the time of the election - similarily a FF 13% is a bit overkill.

However, we still havent had the budget yet. And by January when the cuts kick in it will be more bad news. The left will have never have as much opportunity to resonate with the public during the election campaign. Remember:-

"A lot done more to do"; "Lisbon for Jobs, Jobs, Jobs"; "Our plan is workng"; "We have turned a corner"; "The cheapest bailout ever"; "We are not in discussions with the IMF".

The oppositon can have a field day with this campaign. The question arises, how will FG manage it? Many of us (including me) see no real difference between them and FF, so if they make a balls of their campaign, then expect a large left wing vote.
