The Shinners have been throwing a succession of hissy fits ever since it became clear that FF and FG would not enter government with them. First commitment for the new SF Tanaiste ? The funeral of a senior IRA activist.
its interesting that since the govt was formed that shinners are now baring their teeth. Even here, which is irrelevant they are out of the traps like rats trying to shout everyone down

And who exactly does an enlightened "clever bastard" like yourself vote for?
Not for Ireland's new breed of gombeen politicians anyway. Sinn Fein are Ireland's new gombeen party, a bunch of corrupt chancers who think there is one law for them and another for everyone else. People are sick of that. Everyone hates arrogant pricks. And that is what SF are.

The attitude of FG and FF may well drive more voters to SF. The arrogance of MM in particular certainly won't go unpunished by the electorate imo. The days of these parties having power more of less to themselves is coming to an end. The election result was a serious kick in the bollix for them and indeed has some on here absolutely bulling.

No answer, what a surprise. SF garnered almost 25% of the vote, so either they aren't "arrogant pricks" as you so politely put it or everyone doesn't hate arrogant pricks! You must have been raging at the election result.
Wipe the froth from your mouth and lie down, you'll feel better.

SF claim that the public voted for change because SF got 25% of vote!

I wonder will Paddy Holohan be a SF candidate next election?

After today's display of arrogant stupidity the other parties would have a field day showing them up. They'd not get 25% for that sort of tomfoolery. The shinners are clearly banking on the fact that the next elections in the south are 5 years away.

The PSNI has launched an investigation after images emerged of a procession at the funeral of former Sinn Fein councillor Francie McNally.

A senior police officer said he was disappointed advice given to family and friends of the late Mr McNally on social distancing was not followed.

"It is very disappointing to see some people blatantly ignored health advice and breached current legislation by attending the funeral and, in doing so, they not only put themselves at risk but also put at risk close family members of the deceased and those officiating at the funeral.

“We are aware of social media commentary and images circulating online.

“An investigation is underway, evidence is being gathered and a file is being prepared for submission to the Public Prosecution Service for any breaches of Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) Regulations NI 2020.

The mind boggles, anywho the one time that they should have been wearing masks and they didn't...
I doubt it would be any different for a loyalist funeral, both a law onto themselves.

How many of their first time candidates got elected without canvassing and the voters not having a clue who they were. Doesn't say much for those who gave them a vote. Nothing more than a protest vote. And as for that mouthpiece Mary Lou, stop, playing the gender card when it suits.

Why would you think they didn't canvass? SF are active on the ground.

HaHa,

SF weren't "active on the ground" when it came to Paddy Holohan!

Active in what way? Sure some of their candidates were off on holidays. Others barely out of school.
One candidate went on a holiday that was bought as a gift by her children prior to election date being announced, stop telling lies. Being young doesn't stop one from canvassing. SF are active on the ground in the usual way, dealing with people's concerns by lobbying on their behalf, leafletting and not just at election time, knocking on doors talking to people. Although I do think all parties are now struggling to some degree to get enough members who have the time and drive for these activities. I was a member of my local cumann for many years, and believe me there's a lot of time consuming hard work involved.

how come shinners always do what aboutery every time they are called out?

if you criticise them for say, Jean mcconville it’s “what about the people killed by the brits?”

if you criticise them for protecting paedophiles - related to luminaries in sf - its “what about the Catholic Church“?

no matter what savagery they get up to, the answer always is to defend it by pointing to someone who did something similar.

never, ever, an admission that what they did was wrong. It’s always ok.
unlike hypocrites like you, the virus does not distinguish between the political affiliations of those attending a funeral.
