Where have Solidarity taken a position on whether there should be a united Ireland?
The Socialist Party have been overt unionists for decades. They have always said they want all of Ireland to join a federal socialist republic of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The Trots are a British-controlled fifth-columnist counter-gang, always have been. Where do you think their highly murky funding comes from?

Paul Murphy has described the Spanish govt's attempts to prevent the Catalan referendum as "a denial of the democratic right of the people in Catalonia. " While this is the same party that says we cannot have a border poll in the six counties because "the legacy of the Troubles remains and sectarian divisions". Clearly the Trots are on the side of unionism and them having a veto through the inference of violence.

What else I suppose could you expect from a British controlled Trotskyite party ?

Paul Murphy TD speaks out against Spanish State repression in Catalonia
The voters in his constituency will be so pleased he's representing them and speaking out on their behalf on this issue that's of huge importance to them.

Man who is ideologically ok with usurping democracy criticising others for not properly following democratic procedures. I have said it before the left don't really do irony.

So "Solidarity" support a rich part of Spain wanting to stop its taxes from going to the poor people.

Hilarious....
They have been very anti tax in general over the last five years I often wondered based purely on their tax policy if they were trying to realign as the libertarian party :)

Socialist party are unionist in outlook and want us to return to the UK or as they say in their own words "socialist federation of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales" and they take their orders directly from the leadership in London.

If Irish nationalism didn't count why do you think FF call themselves the 'Republican' Party as much as possible on every leaflet and poster and interview. Even the blueshirts love emphasizing their connection to Michael Collins etc and likewise Labour and James Connolly. But of course your 'nation' is supposed to be a 1,000 miles away where you claim your ancestors allegedly came from 2,000 years ago !!

This post displays total ignorance of the issues involved. However like most people living on these islands I'd be delighted if the people of the north decided to just fu3k off into their own independent non functioning state and stop bothering the rest of us with their incessant pathetic bullsh1t.
Oh dear , any chance you would just fu3k off out of the country taking the organies with you ??

You give a couple of selective quotes and draw all the wrong conclusions - on purpose - just to try and stir the pot as usual.
So this is not Solidarity support self determination for Catalonia ?? " The Spanish state is made up of many nationalities and the question is whether the Irish Government stands with the European Union in supporting the horrific anti-democratic repression that is taking place; it is occupation and a denial of the democratic right of the people in Catalonia."

While is this support for a border poll and a United Ireland ?? "That is unlike the example in the North, where the legacy of the Troubles remains and sectarian divisions between the two communities are predominant. "

And indeed Murphy also states " Does the Irish Government side with those who seek to exercise that democratic right?” of Catalonia but the same clown doesn't ask that of the six counties. Even by Trot standards this must be near the top of their looney left insanity, the Brit dirty tricks dept must be having a right chuckle at their useful idiots the Trots of Solidarity/AAA/Militant/SP.

Some of the biggest tribalist/sectarian bigots in Northern Ireland are in the Socialist Party (they are Orange bigots) and in People Before Profit (they are Green bigots). Though I am for Socialism I will stick to the Social Democrats in the Green Party and Sinn Fein rather than give any support to those scum.

A bit like Sinn Fein/ira.

Support the right of the Catalans to secede from Spain.

Deny unionists the same right here.

Sure we all know the party of such notorious anti nationalists such as Sir Garrett, John 'unionist' Bruton and Leo Thatcher would love to be under the Tory's again.

Ireland and Catalonia are nations. Unionists have a political outlook.
Unionists are only loyal to Britain so long as the British are only loyal to them.

I'd there any link to an explanation of this view?

Already provided on multiple occasions any time this topic comes up.

About us - Socialist Party (Ireland)

We are for a socialist solution – working class unity to bring about a socialist Ireland as a free and voluntary part of a socialist federation of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales
It's pretty black-and-white, I don't think even you could find some way to engage in sophistry that magically makes them not-unionists.
