Students to protest

Wealthier students should pay because Universities need funding for research. Lower income students should be exempt and encouraged to go to third level. They appreciate it a lot more than some of the spoilt brats from Foxrock. Too much class divide in Ireland when it comes to 3rd level.
Speaking as someone who goes to Trinity I completely agree about the whole middle class divide.

Most of those "spoiled brats from Foxrock" have their private education practically subsidized (state pays teachers in private schools). Ironically most of these children's parents are the one's who zealously campaign for unions to be neutered and for social spending to be halved.

In any case the protest is pointless.
Education cuts are inevitable.
Students are apathetic self-centered little brats anyway so there will be no sustained protest movement - they are more interested in drinking, scoffing junk-food, checking out their Facebook, getting off with each other and listening to music than politics.

Fair play to the Students etc.
Though its a pity the SU didn't organise this along with PS Unions etc.
People have to demo together to get real numbers on the streets.
We're all getting screwed together we should all be protesting together

Don't people who make sweeping generalisations just make asses of themselves?

Sorry, but if politics comes above drinking, music and your love life, I'd suggest you're an awful loser altogether.
