It's to save embarrassment for the IOC. After so many cities dropped out or opted not to bid, they don't have to worry about no credible bidders for 2028.

For Paris, it will be third time hosting and the centenary of their hosting of the 1924 games. Also by Los Angeles hosting it in 2028, it removes the possibility of Trump still being in office to officially open the 2024 games, should he win a second term.

They should stop giving the games to developing countries and gave It to cities that already have strong infrastructure in place.

For once an intelligent decision by the IOC, as a bonus there may have been no corruption involved.

I think you're mixing up the Olympics with football/soccer. I don't remember any Olympics ever in a 'developing' country.

There's talk of the 100m taking place on the surface of the Seine.

He might win a Gold Medal in the Spoofing Event which mainly involves spouting an awful lot of horse manure.
The swimmin wil be in the newly reopened Glenalbyn baths, that should whip him into a frenzy.

This is a deliberate ploy by the IOC to exclude the township of Tullybarna where Olympic preparations are well under way.

Get behind Tullybarna 2028.

You need not worry there will be somebody who you like even less than Trump in the White House by that time.

Brazil 2016.
And China 2008.

Brazil is one of the biggest economies in the world. Somewhere in the top ten AFAIK.
And that has what to do with being a developing country?
