Ahern the sniveling scumbag would probably win hands down. Eoghan Harris would be a strong contender. John Gormley and his smug sidekick. Scum Fitzpatrick, Joe Duffy, **** Roach, Harney etc etc etc.

how about anybody in a position of authority who knew about the rape of children and swept it under the carpet or just stayed silent

That would be nearly every politician, senior garda and senior civil servant between 1922 and the 1990s.

We've half-a-million unemployed. We need people who can and do create jobs. If you think every one of those jobs is going to meet your exacting standards you're being completely unrealistic (again). By any rational standard, the jobs O'Leary has created are fine, solid jobs. Many of the jobs we need to create must necessarily have inferior conditions to any job in Ryanair. Get real.

The "genius" of Michael O'Leary is to take good worthwhile work with good pay and conditions, like what used to exist in Aer Lingus, and replace it with low paid, temp, Mac-Jobs. To not only get away with this anti-social criminality, but to to make a furtune on it to boot.

Ireland's Most Annoying....

Ivana Bacik.... no explanation needed....
Sinead O'Connor.... no explanation needed....
Lucinda Creighton.... Has Paul Bradford any idea what he's letting himself in for??
Winning Streak.... Pots of money falling into People's laps without having to lift a finger (or answer a half-hard quiz question) might have been acceptable during the boom, but it's not now. Make the hoors fight for it.
Rugby... Just don't like it.
Jedward.... Duphulac, like Jedward, is disgustingly sickly sweet and leaves a foul aftertaste on the tongue. But at least Duphulac keeps my bowels regular.

Can't think of anyone else who annoys me particularly.... This is I suppose due to my natural serenity....

Cael, I would like to take you up on your points. Aer Lingus was always a wannabee airline with pretentions of grandeur. They had half a dozen planes with propellors competing with the likes of Swissair, BEA/BOAC, Pan Am etc. The wages were inflated because it was a semi state enterprise with vast amounts of dosh being pumped in.

Tony Ryan created his outfit to successfully compete and indeed outperform ALT because he dealt in efficiency and attitude. He was competing with a pork barrel, state funded pseudo airline. Thanks to his and O'Leary's drive we, the proletariates, can enjoy the benefits of trips abroad which were far too pricey in the old days of the ALT/BEA cartel when it cost over £300 to fly to London.

But, as a confirmed pseudo Marxist, you must have misgivings about your hatred of Ryanair in tyhe context of affordable travel for the plebs. petunia

Now the ex national carrier, to use that old phrase, is outclassing Ryanair with their MacDo jobs and sub MacDo service.

Back on topic; we are looking for a list starting with the worst in Irish society. Is the NAMA stunt, the horse better, the HSE etc. not ammunition enough for this bash?

Louis Walsh for what he's done to Irish music.
Michael O'leary for his ignorant bully-boy economics
But the hands down winner is surely Bertie Ahern, who managed to wreck a stable economy AND destroy one of Europe's most thriving cultures in a mere 10 years!
Way to go Bertie!

Sean Fitzpatrick, hands down. He's broke the country.

Worst should mean no redeaming qualities, O'Leary has them in spades.

Not at all. Because the price the plebs pay for allowing the likes of Michael O'Leary to run the world, is that they have no decent work, they are increasingly low paid temps, and everything in their world is becoming low quality muck.

He doesnt. He is the worst of the worst. Far more dangerous than Seanie Fitzpatrick. Seanie actually didnt lead the race to the bottom anything alike as much as O'Leary does.
