Teachers' concern (or the lack of it) for the integrity of their profession.

I'm aware that many teachers voted for the Haddington Road Agreement (HRA) because of concerns about their salaries and the security of their and their colleagues' jobs and other reasons.

However, the integrity of the teaching profession is bigger than any particular teacher. Many ASTI members may feel let down by their previous leadership. Why didn't they lobby their president, who is, unlike the general secretary, elected, for a campaign against HRA?

It's up to people who feel that they are being treated unjustly to fight for their rights.
