Richard Caulfield said we were going to have to geo-engineer the climate,
The 3rd scientist said the West Antarctic Ice Sheet and the Greenland Ice Cap were doomed unless we reduced CO2 levels.

When the programme was the made, the global atmospheric concentration of CO2 was 350 ppm. It is now at 405 ppm and still rising.

I really do not understand how anyone could listen to this programme thoughtfully, and remain a climate change denier. Ok, I do understand it - you have to delude yourself on a massive scale - that is what denial is.

Those ice sheets are doomed. They all melted in the past, will melt and will reform in the future. The reality.

The real climate deniers are those who say it's all our fault, and the climate must stay the very same as it is today for the rest of all time.

Do you realise you are contradicting the scientists you referred us to as authorities?

The end of the Ice Sheets is a state that Professor Francis called Greenhouse Earth, and the human race have never lived in a Greenhouse Earth e.g. sea level at least 10 Metres higher. Oh, I am sure we will learn, but only after massive changes to our whole civilization.

Nils-Axel Mörner is the former head of the paleogeophysics and geodynamics department at Stockholm University: sea level rise - the data was adjusted/corrected to produce the exaggerated rise...this does not correlate with observable information...when you remove the 'corrections' you can see the level and the observable information correlates very well...picking figures from nowhere just because it suits the model is not good enough...

Tom Harris: Fear, a lot of fear, if they abandon their intellectual fellow travelers they can lose their jobs...some of our scientists have had death threats, okay, deth threats for disagreeing with a scientific theory, I mean it's ridiculous..

Harris: It's an enormous money maker, most of that billion per day goes to alternative energy companies...

It is wonderful to see rhetorical blows being struck for oppressed fossil fuel billionaires, and by Holocaust Deniers too.

What are you talking about, do you accept that most of that billion per day goes to alternative energy companies?

Are you paid for shilling for the 'alternative energy companies?

Niels-Axel Morner, climate misinformer.

Background
Mörner is a retired professor from the University of Stockholm where he was the head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department from 1991 to 2005. [1], [3]
Mörner claims to be an expert in “dowsing,” the practice of finding water, metals, gemstones etc. through the use of a Y-shaped twig.
Mörner's attempt to prove his dowsing abilities is chronicled by James Randi, [4] the well-known myth buster, who has offered the longstanding One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge.

“WE HAD EXPECTED MORE MELTING” — THICK ARCTIC ICE FORCES NORWEGIAN RESEARCH VESSEL AND ICEBREAKER TO TURN BACK “Polar bears were even seen on Bjørnøya this past winter, which shows that the ice edge was very far south. Maybe you should google the difference between weather and climate.

Nice try, but there are probably thousands of posts on the thread explaining that distinction for deniers.

It is no good asking deniers to do Climate 101, or Physics 101, if they never did Honesty 101.

Why? The significance is that they were expecting more melting but instead their ice breakers are having a hard time getting through.

It's not important what you call it.

He's an expert in his field, that he has other hobbies/beliefs is neither here nor there, many scientists have religious beliefs that would make a dowser blush. Stop trying to shoot the messenger ;)

correct - that is undoubtedly the case, but when that happens, sea level will be a lot higher than now - 60 meters higher, I think.
so let's hope that it won't happen for an awful long time - certainly not when the likes of Trump or Orban are around - or indeed our own geezers of that ilk,
because it the population of the planet is anything like it is at present, when your ice sheets melt there will be hundreds of millions of displaced people around.
The real climate deniers are those who say it's all our fault, and the climate must stay the very same as it is today for the rest of all time..
nah, the "real climate deniers" are geezers like yourself.
there are many factors that may change the global climate to change - all outside of our control.
the only factor that we as humans can influence is the greenhouse gas level.

pity that the consultants who made the case for the sea wall to protect Trump's golf course in Doonbeg weren't aware of the findings of this genius,
Nils-Axel ............... ahem ...…......…. Mörner,
cause if they were, they wouldn't have embarrassed Trump, by citing sea level rise & more intense storms in his case for the wall !!!!!
