The Death of Queen Elizabeth II: Will it trigger the break-up of the UK?

Will "The Queen's" death remove the final major obstacle to the break-up of the United Kingdom?

Scotland seems close to independence, and will a Tory England, post QE2, attempt to discard Northern Ireland?

RIP. She had a good run. Figured she'd hold on until Charles died, though. ;)

RIP QEII. She was a German married to a Greek. She must have had an arse like a broken cat flap.

It'll break up before that. She has a few years in her yet.

It will. People have a special affection for monarchy. Chuck will be too old to make any changes by the time he gets the throne.

Diana's son might usurp him.

Gasp! You mean she's mortal!?

From the way many in the UK go on about her you'd think she was some sort of divine being.

Because they'll be plenty not paying enough attention and before you know it the headline will be "Irish Political Website causes panic by claiming the Queen has died".

I think there'd be a collective sense of grief about the break-up of the King(Queen?)dom, which won't be there following her death.
