The European Union Withdrawal Act 2018 was given "Royal Assent" on June 26th - the British ring the Death Knell of Unionism in Ireland loud and clear.

Aye so its just pure coincidence that you think all of Ireland's noteworthy "CNR" writers are sh1t and the only Protestant ones you think are also sh1t were nationalists?

Those subjective critical faculties of yours are impressive Tremens.
Whoever coined the phrase "opinions are like arses, everybody has one" was a literary genius. :)

The discussion is cultural not political.
Well you said you've read thousands of literary works and therefore you've amassed a bit of knowledge on the subject and can subjectively analyse the merits of each writer.

So is it just pure coincidence that you find only the works of Catholics and Protestant nationalists to be rubbish?

Bearing in mind you once declared Kiwi Joe Schmidt to be an anti Ulster Protestant bigot.

The discussion is cultural not political.
This isn't a discussion you clown. Its a comedy act.

What do you think of Parnell?

He was a Jewish (but baptised Protestant) Fenian Nationalist.

Is that cultural or political or both...or neither?

(Don't take all day I'm watching Kylian)

I don't mind having a bridge. After all there is an even longer tunnel between England and France, two sovereign nations.

A bridge as well as Irish reunification.
The Irish language writer Seosamh Mac Grianna suggested a bridge between Scotland and Ireland way back in the 1930s. Mind you, he also suggested making Galway capital of Ireland.

I said thousands of books dick head.

If you mean the kind of stuff you would study for A levels or at Uni, it is a fraction of that.

Books are subjective. Experts can pontificate all they like but in the end it's down to the individual reader.

I suppose republicans are so used to being told what to think that they have no concept of doing it for themselves.
Yes, and apparently you haven't finished colouring half of them in yet :?

There is a special type of retardation for those who think WB Yeats is shyte. He was the greatest poet these Isles have ever produced.
Why do you think Tremens regards Yeats as sh1te? Do you think if he were a dyed in the wool Unionist he'd all of a sudden find his works to be those of a genius?

The idea of the Bridge is a bit mad. The funny thing is if you was to put one in it would be between the south and Britian.......
Idea a non - starter much though it would be an economic benefit. Population Britain about 60 million. Population Ireland less than 7 million. Cost of infrastructure the same per mile. Is not going to happen. Better shipping and aviation links the way forward. Bypass Britain completely. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/brexit-busting-ferry-launched-from-dublin-port-1.3468760

There are some who say the new Police Commissioner - an ex-RUC man - is in the pay of MI5.
How can that be, sure didn’t he take the Garda Oath, even without the option of God in it.

Gove said on Marr that the UK can diverge from EU rules. The EU will NEVER agree to that as it flies in the face of the Irish Backstop.
