The fall of Kenny would cause the fall of the 31st Dáil.

The few within the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party who would like to see Enda Kenny's tenure as Leader and Taoiseach come to an end, must not realise that they are essentially Turkeys wishing for Christmas.

Fianna Fáil's current relationship with the current Government, is good for the Country and good for Fianna Fáil. Kenny is a much more favourable leader of the Government from a Fianna Fáil perspective, than the shiny Varadkar.

The current Government took a long time to negotiate, and Kenny was part of the package. The replacement of Kenny with a new Taoiseach would precipitate an election, which would see the demise of several Fine Gael T.D.s such as Peter Fitzpatrick, Regina Doherty, not to mention Senators such as a host of Senators who would not be there but for Kenny.

Any new Government that Fine Gael might possibly participate in could not possibly have as many Ministerial positions, and may well turn out to be a Fianna Fáil led Government. A stronger Fianna Fáil is good for Kenny provided it is not too strong.

The bottom line is that Kenny can remain as Taoiseach as long as Fianna Fáil continue to support him.

Nah, not necessarily, when Regina is crowned Queen, FG will limp along in government for another wee while.

Kenny, Noonan and O'Reilly need to piss off and get of the f'in stage, they're relics of a bygone era and it shows. If this triggers a new election, so be it.

FFail will decide when The Dame and his hamstrung GUBberment are history.
That'll be at a time that suits Mehole the best.

Eff Eff shytebaggery would strongly suggest that Edna is the man they want in situ!
The harsh reality for the rest of us is that we have the village imbecile prancing about as our PM in what is a very important situation with Brexit, which could very well impact more negatively on us than The Brits themselves, that's how incredibly serious it is!

So what? I don't have a problem with another election. The only people that do are politicians, and I have zero sympathy for them

The debacle here over Brexit will be the perfect excuse for Martin in due course to 'reluctantly put himself forward in the nations interest'.

It was brexit, now it's kenny, that's all.

From BREXIT to KEXIT

KEXIT has been in the bag since Enda promoted his economic adviser off to a million plus payday in the EU

Just a matter of pretending it is not planned for a while

It will depend on whether FG pick a candidate from Mícheál Martin's "List of Approved Leaders of Fine Gael".

The whole "-XIT" suffix is overused now at this stage.

ENDAGEDDON seems more appropriate.

It makes little difference who is chosen and from which wing of the party he comes - whether the FF wing or the FG wing. The policies are what matters and who is dictating those policies.

We really do not need another thread on this.

But the media agenda is clear.

It is to bring back the celtic tiger government they arse licked for more than a decade until the country went broke.

That government would still be in continuous power but for the collapse.

That situation no matter which political grouping is involved of having a virtual one party state is not good for this democratic republic.
