Can you see the poor Poles and students looking out of their windees on the 2nd floor wondering if the Housing Executive are going to board up the doors and windows again because of the bonfire just out of shot in the middle of the road (complete with Polish flags and GCSEs Made Easy textbooks).

And lets not forget NI largest one day one location event...

Around 100,000 are expected to descend on Scarva in Co Down for the annual Sham Fight between King William and King James on July 13.

The battle re-enactment, preceded by a large-scale parade by the Royal Black Institution - hosted by Sir Knight Alfred Buller Memorial RBP 1000 - is now firmly established as a major tourist and family attraction.

NB Spoiler alert, close yer eyes if ye don't want to see the result...

now all to together...

It's old but it is beautiful Its colours they are fine,
It was worn at 'Derry, Aughrim Enniskillen and the Boyne,
My father wore it when a youth In bygone days of yore
And it's on the Twelfth I love to wear The sash my father wore...

I see the main orange parade in Tyrone is in Pomeroy. I do not think that village has a single orange man living in it.

The order in Tyrone gets to look more tragic as the years go on.
I take it you aren't going to Donemana this year then.
A lot of the prods were intimidated out of Pomeroy but a lot of prod farmers own the good land around Pomeroy still, and they are still part of the Pomeroy community.

500 bands is supposed to turn up creating 5000 participants ? that would mean you would have an average of 78 people per band?? Would that be the normal average number of people in a band?

I know a Pomeroy orangeman who garms in Pomeroy, an active member of the local community.

Is that one of those people who does not actually live in the village :)
That's one of the Pomeroy community who play an active roll in church and cultural activities whose family have done likewise for generations.

Will the Pope arrange for another rendition of the Te Deum in the Vatican when you notify him of the outcome of the battle? :)

He could sprinkle the whole Vatican with holy water, for all we care.
The Pope must have been able to spot winners, it's a pity he couldn't pass that talent into his flock but maybe he had more "pressing matters" to attend too.
