Looking at Joan's team below, I see TD's, Councillors etc, but there is no mention of Patrick Nulty!

I knew he was out of the Parliamentary party, but is he leaving the party or is Nulty playing fast and loose?

Your Local Labour Team | Joan Burton - TD for Dublin West in Dail Eireann

Searching the Twitter machine, I have also found the image below from a local booklet, but according to this, the Labour party doesn't exist at all. Is there anyone in Labour that would care to explain what both sides are at in DublinWest?

Looks as if FFitis is catching with small and non-existent Party affiliations on material to become the norm.

I would say that after to-day, the Labour party will never see power again, unless they stick their fingers in a socket........

There is only one Labour seat maximum in this constituency next time around. They both know that.

Nulty used the Labour party banner to get elected in the first place.

He is as Independent as Ming and Wallace.

Indeed, he was happy to milk the Labour party dry to get elected. If he ran as Independent Coppinger or McGuinness would have taken the seat.

I don't think I've seen a sadder face on a political pamphlet since James Molyneaux last stood for office.

A face even a mother would find hard to love.

Eh, Nulty was thrown out of Labour over a year ago. Where have you been?
EH, Nulty was moved from the parliamentary party and NOT the Labour party.

Where have you been?

So in short, the thread asks, if he is now avoiding association with the normal Labour party.

Of course Nulty is not mentioned by Burton. He's out of the party at the moment.

He'll be back in either shortly before or shortly after the next General Election.

The OP should get to know how this stuff works.

By the way: one exclamation mark is always enough.

He may be back but not under the current leadership.

Don't worry about that. I'm playing the game.

Agreed. I reckon Sinn Fein, if it plays its cards right, is going to take a good chunk of their votes out from under them by stepping into the centrist shoes Labour usually fills.

Change labour to ff and you`ll have got it just right, very very few labour party supporters will/would vote sf, now or in the near future.

Not so in Nulty's case. He got quite allot of the socialist and typical SF vote last time out.

The socialists and SF will hammer him for having one foot in and one foot out. How can the Labour party tolerate Nulty actively and consciously leaving the Labour logo and colours out of his advertisements?

Joan left Nulty out of 'Her Team' from the look of her website, but should she move to have him removed from the Labour party as a whole, as opposed to just the parliamentary party?

Labour should give him the boot. He was barely elected when he lost the whip. Just a populist gobsh*te and a waste of a seat on a par with Wallace.
