Mrs O'Neill said "the North isn't British" when asked at the Conservative Party conference if an Irish language act would make it less British.

...........Mrs Foster told the same audience she did not want to turn the event into a row, "but Northern Ireland is British"
DUP-Sinn Féin clash at Conservative conference - BBC News

It reminded me of this other dispute:

"Redresal and the Lilliputians also have to worry about the threat of invasion from those living on the Island of Blefuscu, "which is the other great Empire of the Universe." The people of Lilliput and Blefuscu are unable to get along because years ago, after an emperor's son was injured trying to break his egg on the smaller end (the traditional way of egg breaking), he decreed that no one may break the smaller end of his egg. This caused a great uproar among many of the Lilliputians and led to six rebellions and thousands of deaths. Eventually the Big-Endians were exiled and went to Blefuscu, where they gained favor and convinced the government to go to war against Lilliput."

If that's a direct quote 'the North' should be 'the north'.

It's as British as Finchley apparently. I see Boris is best mates again with the Spainish after threatening them with an Armada a few months back to protect Britishness off the coast of Africa.

These people are f*cked and what's funny is northern unionists make them look awfully normal and sane.

The Brits couldn't muster a Navy flotilla now to have a regatta around the Isle of Wight. The Captain Pugwash's are a bit threadbare in boats and have to depend on the Yanks and NATO to protect their seas.

Be a museum piece by the time it's finished. So the Uncle Andy's and Big Mervyn's are happy JUST to have a boat named after Belfast but not built there? Smacks of pathetic cap doffing and desperation. Pity is the word that comes to mind.
So chara are ye going to tell us whose reincarnation or sock ye are...

The Republic is only listed as British Isles in certain maps just like the bit of sea between France and the UK, is in the UK called the English channel it is in France and other EU countries called the Sea Channel. It is a matter of perspective.
