Previously, Orla O'Donnell was RTÉ's Legal Affairs Correspondent (LAC). Her successor is Vivienne Traynor, who is known as the Courts Reporter.

I am puzzled as to why Ms Traynor is not referred to as LAC. Is a journalist who is referred to as a reporter paid less than a journalist who is referred to as a correspondent?

As far as I know, O'Donnell is still the LAC.

For those who might have wondered, Ms O'Donnell is on maternity leave.

So congratulations to her.

Nice to know someone cares or at least vaguely noticed. I'm on maternity leave
