Michael Martin has just said that he reckons the property cool down/crash is good cos it allows us to concentrate on supporting indigenous business. To little to late Mr Enterprise.

He then started to harp on about broadband + he reckons they are sorting it out........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

This was on today fm.

Its true that investment money which would now normally be funnelled into property funds will be open to company investment.

And a property slump is good in many other ways.

So top marks to Mr Martin.

But I hope the good people of Kildare and Meath who voted so heavily for FF to protect their mortgages aren't listening.
Because thats off message.

I'd say there are more than a few Cork people in the same boat as the people from Kildare and Meath.

I guess they can use the broadband to dicuss and marvel at the barbed wire construction and the absence of a paddle.

Did he actually say crash ?. If he did, the Builder Mafia will be paying him a visit tonight. Bertie will allow them to, just like Mad Dog Adair did with his Son. You have to keep your people in check !.

Cooper said the word crash, Martin did not correct him, even a few weeks back if ya said the word to a FFer they would make ya retract it.....
"Crash" doesn't do this justice. This is a Catastrophe.

Yup, you said it, and most people are still oblivious to what is happening.

Agreed. Anyone who can take refuge in the public sector should before the queues get too long.

Global stock markets have fallen by 5% today.

20 more days of this and there'll be nothing left. (and we still won't be at the bottom of the market)

FF never forced anyone to invest in property. The greedy bashtards who did so made that choice all on their own. A property slump was inevitable at some stage and FF are not to blame for people's lack of foresight.

FF are behind the crash, they are the ones who are behind the dodgy planning.

Good lord I had almost forgotton about these poor misguided lunatics.
Placing their faith in FF to keep the ludicrous property inflation bubble fully pumped.
God help them, they never really had a chance did they?

You really have to admire FF for this sort of sleight of hand. Magicians!
Springsteen's latest Magic, a biting satire on how Bush and Rove conned the American people is equally apt to the three card trick FF played on the hapless commuter belt who then imposed another Ahern term on us.

I got a coin in my palm
I can make it disappear
I got a card up my sleeve
Name it and I’ll pull it out your ear
I got a rabbit in my hat
If you wanna come and see
This is what we’ll be
This is what we’ll be

I got shackles on my wrists
Soon I’ll slip and I’ll be gone
Chain me in a box in the river
And Rising in the Sun
Trust none of what you hear
And less of what you see
This is what we’ll be
This is what we’ll be

I got a shiny saw blade
All I need’s a volunteer
I’ll cut you in half
While your smilin’ at me
And the freedom that your songs
Drifting like a ghost amongst the trees
This is what we’ll be
This is what we’ll be

Now there’s a fire down below
But it’s coming up here
So leave everything you know
Carry only what you feel
On the road the sun is sinkin’ low
Sombody’s hanging in the trees
This is what we’ll be
This is what we’ll be
