HMS Protector has raced to assist with the search.

And the Clyde is steaming as we speak

WHERE ARE THE IRISH SHIPS?
What help is Ireland sending, if any? don't you feel embarrassed by your lack of concern to world affairs? Who do the Nations of the World call when there is a problem? Ireland or the UK?

What a pathetic little country u really are.

Who flung dung?

I'd say that is a fair appraisal of the situation.

Glad to hear they are helping out.
Do you think that they might have had a few ships in the locality to protect their interests anyway?

There is a thread on this already on this site. I understand that one of our ships is presently in the Mediterranean dealing with the refugee mess that the neo cons caused. Others are patrolling EU fishing waters protecting dwindling stocks which the BREXIT nut cases believe can deliver a loaves and fishes job once the pound plummets.

Good to know the Royal Navy found a few ships in the end!

Where are the Irish ships? Perhaps busy in the Mediterranean saving 16,000 lives.

You mean, providing the last leg of the people-trafficking operation into Europe free of charge. The traffickers capsize their boats as soon as an idiot EU taxi ship is spotted, so that they can be “rescued”.

Rescuing submariners is the South Atlantic would indeed be a better use of resources. Almost anything would.

Voltaire would have supported the actions of the Irish navy. You know.....Voltaire? That guy whose name you can't spell?

WHERE ARE THE IRISH SHIPS?///.

Nope... and nope. First pic - too close to the shore, 2nd ship is still at anchor.

No need for our navy to be in the south at-a-lantic, as the natives sell us their produce and wares any time we want.

The OP is valid in this one respect.

The contrast between the Irish naval service's human trafficking assistance operation in the Med and the genuine search and rescue work of Argentine and British ships in the monstrous churn of the South Ocean is pretty stark.
