The second year of the Trump presidency...starts with news about Trump attending the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It's aka Davos, and it's essentially a meeting of global elites to decide at the annual summit what they plan to impose on the world for the next while.

Is this move as obvious as what it seems to be - Trump is attending to get his latest list of instructions from his masters among the global elites?

https://www.vox.com/world/2018/1/22/16910172/trump-davos-2017-globalist-elite-world-economic-forum

"Thousands of leaders in business, finance, politics, and civic society gather in the snow-covered Alps to schmooze and strike deals intended to break down economic barriers between nations and make the global community more connected. Davos is the ultimate club for establishment elites."

The elites at Davos will be slapping Trump on the back for getting his tax plan passed. They love more money for them.

Idiot Trump is their minion - he cares nothing for the average American. He cares about himself and his fellow elites.

Well, it is not a case of what Trump did - as much as what he did not do.

He did not start another Obama-esque regime change project. [ Obama and Samantha Powers, were involved in four, such projects].

He did not invade any country, yet - like any of predecessors. Veneer liberals have been demanding that he invade Russia, oblivious to the fact that the PRC does not want a Washington obedient regime in Moscow.

He did not support ISIS, like Madame Secretary Rodham.

And as far as we can see Ireland's most powerful Oligarch has not won any more mobile phone contracts. No wonder the Irish media hate him.

As far as I can see, Trump is an improvement on showBama.

What is a veneer liberal?

Is it a "progressive" lefty who pretends to be liberal? Or is this yet another case of a Trump supporter not understanding what liberals actually are?

The US was founded on liberal principles.

The true elites are the rich - especially those employed in multi-national companies. They love what Trump has done re taxes.

Read this:

World Economic Forum: Davos loves the Trump tax cuts - Jan. 23, 2018

Merkel is a politician, and Bono is a singer. They are hangers on looking for favours from the real players.

Why not cut and paste all the other threads on Trump in here. It's going to be an exact photocopy of last year anyway. You either hate him or tolerate him or love him. The only thing that will change is those who hate him will hate him more and those who tolerate him will tolerate him more and those who love him will love him more.

Here is as clear an example as you will ever find.

Wrote a dissertation on Rwanda, and then made sure that the same thing occured again in Libya, when she demanded an intervention that benefitted Salafists who launched racist enslavement of sub-Saharan Africans.

She is a veneer liberal. Obama is another.

They say one thing, and do the opposite.

Sit down, have a glass of whiskey and relive the magic.

But weren't there posters here who were assuring everyone that Trump would be gone by June 2017 or September 2017 or December 2017? It is funny that he's made it this far while some of those posters have disappeared.

One thing that we cannot say about Trump is that he is ever Jesuitical about his opnions.

Thanks for your feedback.

I opened a thread that followed the format of the existing "The Immediate Repercussions of President Donald J. Trump" but changed the title to refer to the second year. I did this because after a year any repercussions are not "immediate".

However some mod decided to lock this thread down, telling me that it was a duplicate of the "Immediate Repercussions" thread. It wasn't a duplicate however as it relates to a different time period.

Anyway, people are still opening lots of other Trump-related threads (usually about a single issue), and the mods do zero about them.

Trump doesn't give a fuk about Davos.
He'll be there to do what he did at the UN gig last year. Swing his Mickey around and tell them the globalist story s changed.

They'll kiss his ass as he's got the power but it'll be all America first from him.

No the REAL deal for year 2 will be the infrastructure bill. That's what he gives a Feck about now.

Well if we are to be specific about his second year, almost all financial analysts are agreed that growth will continue at about 2.5%. Unemployment will drop marginally. Inflation will remain fairly constant. There is a danger that the exuberance and confidence now back in the market and amongst consumers unless tempered a little could lead to excessive growth and incite a boom bust cycle so the hope is that he manages the economy with a degree of optimistic caution. Too much intense negativity could tempt the Trump administration to overegg the economy in advance of elections, pushing for 4% and that would be the big watch out in 2018. Stocks markets very stable and will keep rising. Bitcoin will surge again and then fall back. Auto industry and tech will power forwards. Construction will do well. The rust belt industries will not see the hoped of revival but the there will be an acceleration in smaller scale farming. Otherwise same as. CNN v Fox all day, and so on and so on.

If they second year is 80 % as the first I will be happy .
Is there a word or two missing there? And did you mean to type the, instead of they?

What did you mean to say?

"If the second year is 80 % as sh*tty as the first I will be happy"?

"If the second year is 80 % as incompetent as the first I will be happy"?
