"Meanwhile the Social Democrats also announced today that it is running 60 candidates in the local elections. "

"The Social Democrat's Dublin councillor Gary Gannon is to contest the European elections in the Dublin European constituency."

I assume Gannon is running in both the LE and EPE simultaneously?

Also Howlin encouraging a voting block between the LP, Greens and SD's - isn't particularly helpful to the SD's image of being a "change" party.

Howlin can propose it (as he did in 2016), but notable that not just the SDs, but also Eamon Ryan, rejected it on that occasion, and the latter two parties have been closely aligned through their Dáil grouping.

Are the SDs running the asylum seeker who seems to have a different story about her background every day?

Internal report just completed this week and the SD leadership will get sight of it next week. Then it's decision time
Squeaky bum time more like! Imagine the party having to decide that a chancer playing the asylum fiddle can represent them.

And if they don't allow her run they will have to put up with the raucous disapproval from com ogorman, kitty Holland and all the other luvvies.

Roisin Shortall said on Drivetime a month ago that it would take 1/2 weeks for the review to be done. It appears to have taken double that time and Roisin etc will only see it next week. Gary Gannon, Ellie's mentor has been tweeting about her amazing energy (on the canvas).

Does anyone know who served on the internal review? Any actually independent person?

Gary Gannon is to contest the European elections in the Dublin European constituency and he is quite an impressive speaker and canvasser.
