They were arrested at Dulles trying to flee the country, quite probably having been tipped off by Barr or White House to get out of town

It isn't a stench any more, it's an open sewer

Trump simply believes no rules apply to him whatsoever, while simultaneously insisting that anyone who challenges him must have be more spotless than Gandhi

It is the sporting equivalent of a rugby player insisting he be allowed to stamp, gouge, punch and clothes line tackle opponents with impunity then haranguing the officials that his opponent should be red carded for having his jersey not tucked in to his shorts.
The hits just keep on comin' ...

President Donald Trump pressed then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to help persuade the Justice Department to drop a criminal case against an Iranian-Turkish gold trader who was a client of Rudy Giuliani, according to three people familiar with the 2017 meeting in the Oval Office.
Trump is anti-Islam until the Moslem Moolah comes out ... then its "What verse of the Koran do you want me to learn?"

Its like Russia gate all over again, same gang jumping to the same conclusions and making the same idiotic predictions.
The conclusion that Trump asked a foreign Government to investigate his political rival.

How would one not reach that conclusion?

So what?, its not as if anyone except democrats care, and Trump supporters see it as a deep state set up to try and stop investigations into DNC corruption in the Ukraine.

You know the US isn't just made up of Democrats and Trump supporters, right?

Using political office to target political opponents is something anyone with any adherence to basic norms of democracy opposes. The fact that some cultists chuck out the principles of democracy when it it's their cult idol doing it doesn't change that.

Sure but why would you think neutrals would think Trumps request for aid from a foreign government is worse than the obvious set up used to "catch" him, and how do you suppose Trump supporters will react to what they perceive as a coup?

I don't much care how Trump supporters react to what they perceive as a coup. Trump cultists are a minority.

As for 'neutrals', first, it is not an obvious set up. Second, the issue is the merits of what he did - if folk agree that a President should not use their office to target their political opponents (and as I say, anyone not a cultist who has any adherence to democratic principles would agree with that) then I don't think anyone has much sympathy that a CIA agent made the fact of this abuse of Trump's office public.

That would appear to be borne out by increased support for impeachment in all polls.

Oh I know you don't care that the hysterical reaction of you and many democrats has polarized the USA like never before, destroyed the credibility of the press and created an environment where its dangerous to show public support for a duly elected president. You don't care that this polarization will make bipartisan legislation nearly impossible because you honestly believe that all you have to do is mobilize your core support and Trump will lose, and even if you manage to impeach him and he still gets elected, even then you won't accept that the US is not ready for your progressive BS.

Of course its a set up, a CIA agent contacts Schiff with dirt,he sends him down the whistleblower route and a compliant press goes along with the "whistleblower" narrative, you really do have to be a bigoted anti Trumpist to not see it.

This US administration is beginning to look as bent as a corkscrew. :ROFLMAO:

Two associates of Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, have been charged with election finance violations for channeling foreign money into the president’s campaign.
Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, both Soviet-born Americans who are under scrutiny in congressional impeachment proceedings, were arrested on Wednesday night in Virginia, on four charges including conspiracy, making false statements and falsifying records.
The money certainly bought access. Both Parnas, who was born in Ukraine, and Fruman, who is originally from Belarus, were photographed with Trump, the president’s son Donald Trump Jr and the vice-president, Mike Pence.
Let's see them talk their way out of this.

Do you feel better after that little whinge?

The 35%-40% who will obsessively support Trump no matter what should be ignored on this. They are certainly not worth resiling from basic democratic principles for.

Democrat candidates despite Trump being probably the worst president ever, will have real difficulty getting elected as long as the 10% or so of progressives are wagging the democrat dog.

As usual you can provide no evidence for that assertion.

The American voters are not so narrow minded to think that. The squad will be elected in their districts and people in other districts will vote for their choices. Democrats will vote in their won districts despite whatever districts vote. If the Dems can ensure an honest election in 2020 then Trump will lose.

Jack has already activated both his Attorney General and While House sources ( in other words conjecture).

I think the democrat party will be taken over by progressives, they will destroy the reputations of any moderate or corporate representative, slowly but surely.

Put to one side for a moment the positives of the whistle blower.

Do you think it is acceptable for the president to ask/pressure a foreign government to investigate a political rival?

That understandable breaks down when it's the potus.

If it were someone twiddled out of their head on some nasty addictive substance rolling a tourist on the A line, understandable might come in to play, but using the highest office to search for dirt on an opponent, with supposedly the full use of ones powers, sorry.

Of course, there is no right wing media conspiracy .....

reportedly met with media mogul Rupert Murdoch on Wednesday night, The New York Times reports. The Trump official and the Fox News owner reportedly met at Murdoch’s home in New York. It’s unclear what they discussed, or if anyone else attended the meeting. Staffers for Barr and Murdoch declined to comment on the meeting. On Thursday, Trump criticized Fox News in a series of tweets.
