The ULA & The Socialist Party: Nothing to say on murder of Garda?

Four days on from the murder of Garda O'Donoghue I have yet to hear of any statement from Ireland's Socialist Parties/Groups - the Socialist Party (SP) and the ULA. I checked Google and the websites of both groups. Nothing. There is a press release on the ULA website calling for the compassionate release of Marion Price so she could attend the funeral of her sister. Fair enough. However, there is nothing on the story which has gripped the country over the last four days.

It's odd. It's not like these groups don't engage in the politics of condemnation. They condemn pretty much everything.

Perhaps Joe Higgins or Clare Daly or Richard Boyd Barrett have spoken on this issue and I missed it. If so I'll ask for this thread to be removed. However, I can't find any reference to any statement anywhere. No member of the ULA or the SP spoke in the Dáil today when tributes were made to Garda Donohoe. There may be some procedural reason for that which I'm not aware of.

Have these groups simply made a mistake or is there an ideological barrier which prevents them from speaking out on the murder of a servant of the state?

This is pretty lame in fairness.
