For too many Irish families, homelessness is a frightening and depressing reality. The Taoiseach's attempts to understate this reality by making pointless comparisons insults these families, as children continue to live in hotel bedrooms. - https://twitter.com/MichealMartinTD

I told Taoiseach his housing crisis means home ownership now beyond the reach of an entire generation. He didn't seem bothered. - https://twitter.com/MaryLouMcDonald

Unless Martin has the solution, probably not much point. Good to know these children have a hotel at least. Not ideal but at least they are off the streets.

MaryLou ran away from making a difference. What she says or does is of no consequence.

Ireland have failed to qualify for a major soccer ball competition under FG once again.

Time for Martin to pull the plug.

Do we really need to regurgitate THE FF abysmal record?
FF are this government!
FF allowed them, FF supported them..
Everything they have done is with a FF blessing..
THEY ARE YOUR PARTY and you are their party TOO!

Are you saying that there is a problem?
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Conor Skehan said homelessness was a dreadful thing but it was normal and does happen.

He said we needed to take the emotion out of the situation and address how we were dealing with the problem.

Speaking on the same programme, Niamh Randall said we needed to be careful about rewriting the homelessness narrative because we were in danger of normalising the homeless and housing crises. - https://www.google.ie/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjAnpLpmr_XAhVaOMAKHe1sBjIQFggrMAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rte.ie%2Fnews%2F2017%2F1113%2F919642-homelessness%2F&usg=AOvVaw0E_zJs1tZQjrNZO4iTaB2G

Leo is so out of touch with reality, that he can't bring himself to acknowledge that there is one, and now that he's dug himself into a hole, he will keep digging and digging, and that's why I think Martin should pull the plug now, by tabling a motion of no support for the government. Varadkar is clearly out of his depth as Taoiseach, and any alternative would be preferable to what we have now.

Martin is not the one to pull the plug. FG have a lot on Martin.

Leo Varadkar‏Verified account @campaignforleo - 'In Enniskillen today for Remembrance Sunday & to mark the 30th anniversary of the bombing here, which claimed 12 lives. Laid a wreath at the Cenotaph earlier.'

No. They are not one and the same thing. What the monkey sees the monkey does, and what Leo is doing, is mimicking his predecessors. He figures he can maintain power, by trying to rile the opposition. If that means being as cold and calculated as Shatter, who starved working class communities of funding in the 1990's, just to get a boot in against SF, that's what he'll do. Correction - That is what he is doing. That's what Leo is about.

How can anyone solve a problem that doesn't exist? I need you to acknowledge that there is a problem first.
Jaysus.
I asked you for a tangible solution on a thread you started.
You haven't provided one. Instead you've decided to ask me if there's a problem...
So I'll ask you again what tangible solutions have you got to the problems you've outlined in the op?

It is an Irish solution to an Irish problem. How much are govt paying out on a hotel? Probably more than it would cost to house people (outside of main cities at least). It is like how much govt pay out on school prefabs hire rather than building schools quickly.
