Fair enough...

You don't have to like him but he's certainly had an impact on 2016 and has successfully taken US presidential election campaigns to depths few would have imagined possible up until this year...

Let's hope he doesn't take the world to similar depths 'going forward'...

I'd say Farage is gutted... f*** him.

Easy choice, but also the traditional one. Normally the US pres election winner wins in an election year it anyway. You have to go back to 1996 to an election year where it went to someone else.

Time are very proud of their tradition of naming their man or woman of the year as someone who has influenced the world, for good or ill.
Case in point: The 1938 edition.

Yes, the title is bestowed on the most news worthy of that year, irrespective of whether his/her influence has been positive.
Needless to say this has already been lost on the great man, who seems to think it's a Nobel Prize.
His narcissism will lead him to believe this is a huge endorsement.

Is this shocking? He has become the most powerful man in the world with an apparent agenda of disruption and breaking with system - believe it if it happens.

It's not a moral judgement in the goodness of their heart.

Stalin got it twice if Hitler had win he would likely have got it as well. Impact of the year is how it should be reviewed.

It's also media ************************e designed to sell copy so let's not take it too serious either.
